This will get Confluence working in Kodi 19.

A lot for v19 is optional, although it would be great to include in the skin.

 On thing, I am seeing a new "search" dialogue in the home view. Can this be removed or made optional? Is it another plug-in that may have added this?

Did you find a solution for this?
Cause I really want to get rid of that search bar. I tried editing home.xml, but that just messed up remote control navigation :/

Global search addon is not installed, if I press the search button, it ask if I want to install it though. 
I tried installing the addon and then disabling it, that did nothing.

The search button is always visible.
Why do want to get rid of it?

Just install the global search addon and it will work.

Because I don't use it ever, and its annoying to navigate with it there, I use a remote, not mouse/keyboard...
I don't want it to work, I would like it to disappear 😁

Me too. Why do people have to ask why one wants to do something? Annoying!

The search button is ugly and out of place, like a wart on the ribbon. I would prefer to see it somewhere under the main menu ribbon in Confluence, or maybe as an option in the Home window options.

People ask because they are trolls.
The search would be good as maybe a magnifying glass at the bottom.  Either bottom left near the exit or bottom right.

I second that. Please make the search field on the homescreen optional.
I don‘t use global search and imho it destroys the elegant look of the main menu.
