Please provide a debug log after enabling additional logging for the component Video.
With the latest nightly would be even better than beta 2 though I don't think anything significant changed in the meantime.
Sometimes the black screen can be caused by the refresh rate / HDR mode switch, please also try without auto-switch by Kodi (you switch manually to the correct mode before starting Kodi).
