RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - Karellen - 2024-08-29 You have a number of these errors which needs fixing. Might need to delete the database and let it rebuild... 2024-08-28 21:49:32.435 T:5466 error <general>: SQL: [Textures13.db] SQLite error SQLITE_CORRUPT (database disk image is malformed)

I took a look and script.service.playbackresumer might be the fault. An add-on shouldn't be able to crash Kodi so there's definitely something to fix. I'll try to reproduce with this add-on. In the meantime, can you try two things?
I saw some other sus things in the log, so you might want to delete your userdata folder and set up Kodi again. Try to create a minimal setup so that we can isolate the bug. Not gonna lie, it's pretty cool you got this far. If we can fix a bug you'll be an official contributor! RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - ms009986 - 2024-08-30 OK....just uninstalled the Kodi Playback Resumer and all settings. Restarting Kodi for good measure.... Trying to run Donkey Kong... Black screen, crash. I saved the old log if you wanna see it, but for now moving on. RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - ms009986 - 2024-08-30 Thank you to both GB and Karellen, by the way, forgive my terrible manners! OK, deleting a database sounds scary and irreversible, but since it's just a texture thing which I probably had no part in making or modifying, I'll assume that Kodi will find it missing and rebuild it, so here goes. Opening Kodi to close Kodi, that's probably not needed but it's to avoid some sort of "database in use" error or something. Finding the database. Deleting it. Permanently delete? Sure. In for a penny etc. Restarting Kodi. Starts right up. Oh dang. Forgot debug mode again. So probably that last log isn't useful. OK, it's on now. Starting Donkey Kong. Black screen....crash. :-( https://paste.kodi.tv/olikidejap.kodi RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - ms009986 - 2024-08-30 I just looked at the last log and only saw one RetroPlayer entry, and I know how you like many more of them, so I did all the usual steps and made you another one. I don't know what I did wrong before but this one is chock full of the word RetroPlayer. https://paste.kodi.tv/ridaqewexo.kodi RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - Fuchs2468 - 2024-08-30 Apart from your original problem, you have 3 problems. Problems: 1. service.autosubs v1.1.1 (not compatible) 2. script.lazytv v3.0.1 (not compatible) "xbmc.translatePath" is outdated for these 2 addons and should be replaced by "xbmcvfs.translatePath". 3. script.embuary.info v2.0.8 The addon "script.embuary.info" is missing "script.module.arrow" which I assume you deleted manually because it won't let you uninstall it if it is needed by an addon. So uninstall the first 2 addons and install "embuary info" again, then "script.module.arrow" should be there again. Then you can carry out your original test. RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - ms009986 - 2024-08-30 I swear it will be done. Question...if an addon is not compatible, why would it cause problems? Does Kodi try to run it anyway? What happened was I had v. 19 or 20 and those addons worked fine and then 21 broke them and I thought maybe they'd be updated soon so I didn't do anything about it. Not the way it works? I mean, evidently not, they're still not compatible... Oh, and I didn't touch script.module.arrow that I'm aware of...don't know what it is, don't know where to find it. So (shrug) Uninstalled Autosubs. Uninstalled LazyTV. Tried to uninstall Embuary.info but it told me Arctic:Zephyr is using it and so it can't be uninstalled....is there another way? RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - Fuchs2468 - 2024-08-30 (2024-08-30, 04:18)ms009986 Wrote: Tried to uninstall Embuary.info but it told me Arctic:Zephyr is using it and so it can't be uninstalled....is there another way? Don't uninstall Embuary.info, go to dependencies and click on "arrow" and install it. After that you should be able to continue with your test. RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - ms009986 - 2024-08-30 Restarted Kodi, tried to run Donkey Kong (Donkey Kong is important.), got the same black screen and then crash. So what's left to do....Mr. Fuchs told me I should reinstall Embuary, so I'm not sure how to force-uninstall that. Then I should maybe remake my userdata something-or-other, but that scared me and I don't know what rebuilding that will entail. So before I dive in there can someone reassure me (or at least tell me what to do)? Here's the latest old log. https://paste.kodi.tv/evucowivaq.kodi (Thanks again for the help.) RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - ms009986 - 2024-08-30 Oop, crosspost, Mr. F. Will try that now. RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - ms009986 - 2024-08-30 OK. Found Embuary, clicked it, found Dependencies, never opened that before. The first one was "arrow", it says arrow Minimum: 0.10.0 So I clicked arrow. Popup disappeared, didn't say anything else, I suppose that means I installed it? It still says arrow Minimum: 0.10.0 if that matters. The rest say minimum/installed, which would make me think it wasn't installed. Restarting just for kicks. Oh, now it says arrow Minimum: 0.10.0/Installed 1.2.3. OK cool. Now for some Donkey Kong. No, crash and burn again. RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - Fuchs2468 - 2024-08-30 I can't help you any further from now on, but all the obvious errors should be gone now. You now have to wait for a reply from @garnier, he knows the games and it would be best to send another log without the errors that you have now fixed. RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - ms009986 - 2024-08-30 Thanks for your help, sir! I will do just that. :-) RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - ms009986 - 2024-08-30 Thanks again to those who have helped me so far. GB, I await your next advice at your convenience. :-) https://paste.kodi.tv/kiranesego.kodi RE: Trying to make games work in Kodi. Not succeeding. - ms009986 - 2024-08-31 Oh, OK, thanks, Nora. I mentioned missing BIOSes a s a possible problem, so how do I find and install them? Is there a big file full of them available somwhere, or do I have to just type in each emulator name and search around for them? Is there an easier way? |
