RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Arkitket - 2013-02-27

Hey there, glad to see that someone is still developing this great program. I just downloaded the newest version and added all the files into my current v1.2 EMM folder to update it, but I seem to be having a problem. When I go to a movie and right click and select re-scrape nothing happens. Previously on 1.2 it would download tbn's and let me select a poster (twice for some reason) and backgrounds (also twice for some reason) and then let me review the info. Why is this not happening on 1.3.0.9?

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - voip-ninja - 2013-02-27

I'm confused about Frodo, EMM and season artwork.

I updated EMM to the latest 1.3.0.9 version, enabled "frodo" options for both TV and movie shares and scraped a TV season I just added, Game of Thrones.

EMM is still producing in the root show folder a season02.tbn as well as a season02-poster.jpg file.... and Frodo does not recognize artwork for this season. I thought that Frodo did away with tbn files?

What am I missing? Thanks.

I've enabled network services on my XBMC setup and I can access the XBMC web interface from browser as well use official XBMC remote app from my iPhone, but I can get this working in Ember. Any idea what I might be doing wrong or if this is known issue?

doesn't work because was change in Frodo but, I believe if we ever get the next ver it will be fixed

How fortunate of me...My exact question I wanted to ask, and I didn't need to search through 100s of posts to find it. Remember always check the last post first.

Thanks....Now I can goto bed and stop cussing at myself for thinking I was doing something wrong.

Really? I asked Dan about fixing it and he said he didn't know how. What makes you think it is getting fixed? I would LOVE to see it fixed as i loved that feature. I hope you are right.

He said he will eventually release today/tomorrow a new fixed version, I am waiting too, want to rescrape my whole collection Smile

I posted a while back telling someone Dan didn't have time to rewrite it. Then someone said they did it.

Read post 2911 on page 292 mention JSON. I think m.savazzi is the one that did it to get fanart.tv to work

Thanks... surprisingly, it never occurred to me that Frodo might have caused the breaking (how stupid of me), between trying to get the season posters and tv show artworks working for Frodo. I still have the question as voip-ninja.

For some reason, and believe me I've tried almost everything till now, Frodo never picks up on season posters when I download them from Ember. I tried SeasonXX.tbn, SeasonXX-poster.tbn, SeasonXX.jpg/png, SeasonXX-poster.jpg/png and even Season XX.jpg/png. Then I also tried Poster/Folder.jpg/png/tbn inside the season folders, but all in vein. The only I got the posters was either using Artworkdownloader script/addon or let XBMC scrape the show on it's own.

This is a XBMC problem. Try to delete the textures13 file in the user folder.

Running Artworkdownloader add-in did fix many but not all of them. Season 2 of Game of Thrones I finally just gave up and manually browsed to the artwork within XBMC and set the season poster that way...Undecided

I will try the fix that Dan mentions to see if it has any impact on any other lingering troublemakers.

And I echo the sentiments of "if it's not broke don't fix it" I honestly don't understand taking something that works very well for the vast majority of users and replacing it manually running an add-on even when you have a great tool like Ember to generate your art and place it where it's supposed to be.

Dumb.

+1

yes...it's a pity!

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Randall Lind - 2013-02-27

I don't think you need that add on all the time as I was missing some and ad didn't find them. I manually went to fanart.tv and download and renamed them and they showed. Hatfields & McCoys is one that comes to mind.
