RE: YouTube - Alyyy - 2025-02-02 Hi, Do you have a problem with the “my subscriptions” button ? it doesn't display anything at home. RE: YouTube - usphil - 2025-02-02 (2025-02-02, 18:13)Alyyy Wrote: Hi, This item does not work, use the Subscriptions item right below the menu RE: YouTube - Alyyy - 2025-02-02 (2025-02-02, 21:35)usphil Wrote:Finally it works, it's just that it's not the same account that I use on my PC.(2025-02-02, 18:13)Alyyy Wrote: Hi, RE: YouTube - gujal - 2025-02-02 (2025-02-02, 10:14)JNRW Wrote: Read the last paragraph of post #3006 about the need to sign in twice without being prompted. It looks like that’s your last hurdle. What if I do not want to sign in. I have always used my own api keys but do not sign in to youtube and the addon used to work fine until about two weeks ago. Now with brand new api keys it lists all the sections and can browse through trending, live, completed live etc listings as befor, but it says "Sign in to confirm you are not a bot" when attempting playback of any listed video RE: YouTube - JNRW - 2025-02-02 (2025-02-02, 22:58)gujal Wrote:Your question is getting beyond my knowledge but I am sure someone else will shortly be able to satisfy your query, however, my understanding is that recent changes now require not only new API keys to be obtained and put in a newly installed 7.2.0 beta 4 but also signing in twice otherwise the YT addon may not be used in Kodi. If this is incorrect I apologise.(2025-02-02, 10:14)JNRW Wrote: Read the last paragraph of post #3006 about the need to sign in twice without being prompted. It looks like that’s your last hurdle. I hope you get it working. I am delighted with how it performs now. RE: YouTube - rrawstron - 2025-02-03 @MoojMidge here are the click by click steps to create the API key and OAuth client ID with a brand new Google (Gmail) account (i.e. not a Google Workspace account). You may want to add this to https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube/wiki/Personal-API-Keys I've got screen shots of all of this if wanted. To get this working I had to use the 7.2.0 beta 4 add-on version and complete the sign in twice. # Access Google Cloud (Developer) Console
# Create Project
# Enable YouTube API
# Configure OAuth consent
# Create API Key
# Secure API Key
# Create OAuth client ID
# Configure YouTube Add-On with Sign in values See https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube/wiki/Personal-API-Keys#configure-the-add-on # YouTube Add-On Sign In

RE: YouTube - captainf - 2025-02-03 Have downloaded the latest beta version in the hope that it will fix the sign in error, as i'm already set up on cloud console. However when trying to install i get a Python dependencies error, do i need to update Python? RE: YouTube - otinley - 2025-02-03 (2025-02-03, 13:53)captainf Wrote: Have downloaded the latest beta version in the hope that it will fix the sign in error, as i'm already set up on cloud console. You provide no: Kodi version OS information You stated: "..as i'm already set up on cloud console" When were your API/keys created? Help us help you please. RE: YouTube - JohnnyBluRay - 2025-02-03 Is there a time limit on this API? The reason I ask, after a full day of using Youtube and saved Youtube channels in FAVORITES, all of a sudden last night, everything stopped and the spinning circle took over. This morning tried again and nothing changed, still had the spinning circle on both Youtube subscribed channels as well as Favorites. I signed OUT and then back into the ADD-ON, logged back in and went through the two(2) verification checks. I now have again the Youtube working again along with FAVORITES. For some reason the FAVORITES does take a few minutes to load up though. Just curious about the time limit! Everything is back working properly now though. RE: YouTube - captainf - 2025-02-03 Latest Kodi, Windows 10, API keys are old. Thanks so much for this. Solved all my issues Cheers RE: YouTube - otinley - 2025-02-04 @captainf, There are no such thing as 'latest' in software. Kodi 22 is available, is that what you have installed? By your own admission, your keys are 'old' therefore you need 'new' ones. As simple as that. RE: YouTube - denzo - 2025-02-08 I don't know for sure but it looks like things might have changed (or quite possibly I did something wrong) when I try to sign in I get an error message about it being blocked because it's not verified. If I go to verification center and try and authorize I get this message that external oauth needs to be verified. RE: YouTube - pascalbxlx - 2025-02-08 I have an issue. I have set-up the keys and Kodi on a first machine and it is working fine. Then I have a second machine (with last Kodi / YouTube beta) and the first sign-in is working fine, but the second step google returns me the typical error as if the user was not registered. access_type=offline dfi=xxxx response_type=none prompt=consent client_id=xxxxx.apps.googleusercontent.com scope=https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube flowName=GeneralOAuthFlow The keys, clients id and user are the same between the two machines. The same for the versions. The difference is that the working machine is my personal computer on windows, and the second machine is a librelec (last stable version) where I never went authenticated before (as this is a server). Any idea? Thanks in advance. |
