I posted this on Openelec, but another member told me to post here for more exposure.

HP Chromebox 2955u, as my frontend for Mythtv. It seems that during some commercials my FPS goes from 59.9- 60, to all over the board (15-27), and starts dropping frames too! Log file attached:
http://pastee.co/BdwVS1
I have log tested it with 5.0, and then went back to 4.2, and it did not have this issue.

Hi Matt, I am running a stand alone setup and today I upgraded firmware to the latest version using the update script and also updated OE to 5.0 newest release. Since doing this I am not able to access my USB 3.0 HDD that is connected to Chromebox. I have 2 other USB 2.0 HDD that are connecting fine. Any thoughts?

try editing the suspend/resume script and remove the '--off' from the pre section.

downgrade back to 4.2.1 to determine if the issue is the firmware or OE-related. The firmware shouldn't have any effect on peripherals once the OS is loaded, only at boot.

Great. Enable debug logging under 5.0.0 and pastebin it so we can identify and fix the issue. Stop by the IRC channel if you need help doing that

Not if it works as-is. You can certainly try that if it's not working for you.

I am going with Kodibuntu.

Should i get 64bit or 32bits ?

64. Any Kodibuntu related question belong in the Linux and Live Support forum though, not here.

From fritsch on Linux and live Support.
None. You need to follow Matt's thread in the hardware chromebox forum.

Nobody have answer to my question.

You are correct, but as AMD created the 64 bit extensions to the x86 instruction set (while Intel was saying Itanium was how 64 bit was to be done), even 64 bit Intel x86 chips (such as Haswell or any modern Intel chips) can be said to use the AMD64 instruction set.

Intel 64bit chips are AMD64 compatible (well except for Itanium)

do you have the issue when not using the suspend/resume script? Note that you have to reboot for any changes to take effect.
