Is there any add-on to install a vnc server on the chrome box running openelec?

Thank you.

Just did a clean upgrade to OpenElec 5.0.0/Kodi

Very disappointed.
1-BD iso are having hard time playing
a-Buffering
b-Picture freezing and sound still playing.

2-The Chromebox will freeze,the only way to reset it is to unplug it.

Hard similar issue with OpenElec 4.21 Gotham but not as bad as the Openelec 5.0.0..

Is this a hardware problem or ?

read the wiki and recommended settings for picture freeze.

Bd. Iso no problems here...

Have try skipping chapters or FF/RW?

try playing the file from a local source (eg, USB stick or HDD) and see if you have the same issue. If so, then it's a network issue. I've played many BD iso files here (3D even) without any issues, but I have a hardwired gigE connection to my NAS.

No frames skipping or buffering. Blue ray with DTS Master.

Also wired network on a HP chromebox. So no gigabit LAN

RE: Asus/HP/Acer/Dell ChromeBox EZ Setup (OpenELEC/Linux+Kodi) [v3.8 - 2015/01/07] - movie78 - 2015-01-15

Wired Gigabit Network.
Windows 2012 Server and Windows 8 Share drive.

Have the VidOn Box and the BD.ISO Load times are much faster than the ChromeBox(FYI)

OpecElec 4.2.1 Gotham perform much better.

I taught updating to OpenElec 5.0 Kodi will make it even much better.

Is this the correct settings for Asus ChromeBox?

KODI settings

System->Settings->System->Video Settings:
Vertical Sync: Let Driver decide

System ->Video->Acceleration:
Enable HQ Scalers for scaling above: 20%
Allow hardware acceleration (VDPAU): off
Allow hardware acceleration (VAAPI): On
Use Mpeg-2 VAAPI: Yes
Use Mpeg-4 VAAPI: if you like
UseVC-1 VAAPI: off (this causes vc1 interlaced to segfault, when on)
Adjust Refreshrate to match video: On

If you experience kernel hangs (dmesg will tell), you can set Prefer VAAPI Render: Off that will force the swfilter even when progressive / VAAPI BOB is in use.

System -> Video -> Playback
Sync Playback to Display: On
Sync Method: Video Clock (Resample Audio) (This will automatically use Drop / Dupe when passthrough is active -> best from two worlds)
Adjust display refresh rate to match video: On Start / Stop

do a hard reset. apply the settings as directed in the wiki. re-test. if you have a problem, post the required info as directed at the top of the first post. Any further posts that complain about issues without providing the necessary info will be deleted.

I think the hard reset he is talking about is the one in openelec settings.
