Also having the problem with .actors cache being created even it's not selected. The .actors folder and images are created but the nfo still points to the online images. I don't want them to be downloaded though. I'd rather just have the link to the online images.

Ok I checked it out and I can reproduce your obersvation with the Export HTML when using source filter.
The solution is that you have to click the button AGAIN after checking the folder in the list. This will save/set the filter and button to regenerate the list using the filter will be enabled.

Awesome, thanks for the workaround Cocotus! Shall I assume you'll address that behavior in the next release?

BTW, have you considered creating another row at the bottom of the Export Movies interface where the buttons are? You could then move the Source Folder Filter list up so it could be a little taller and a lot wider.

Beautiful job on HTML!

Still got the issue, are there any logfile anywhere that I can use to find out what causing this?

Have you tried installing the v3.5 Framework as well?

That solved the problem, thanks a lot!

AW: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - DanCooper - 2013-03-03

XBMC Controller is broken, XBMC has change the interface from html to JSON.

Bulk Renamer will only list movies the EMM recognizes fanart for.

Actors are not being scraped regardless of settings.

Also as another user reported none of the fanart images are checked by default when scrapping, were with v1.3.0.9 and earlier they were.

Has anyone been able to look into or duplicate these issues? I detailed everything in a video yesterday.

Try to change/add <Setting Section="*EmberAPP" Name="ScrapeActorsThumbs">False</Setting> in advancedsettings.xml.
I will check if this a bug. For me this works without problems.

If EMM is installed with the Frodo options checked, then movies with <movie>-fanart.jpg and <movie>-poster.jpg are the only ones it sees artwork for. So it does not see artwork for fanart.jpg or poster.jpg. If after completing the wizard I enable poster.jpg and fanart.jpg as well, then artwork for all movies shows up. If I then click Update Library all artwork is still showing. However, if I then F5 Refresh on ANY movie regardless of <movie> or not, then just the main fanart disappears.

However, if EMM is installed without using the Frodo setting, then no missing artwork.

Bulk Renamer will only list movies the EMM recognizes fanart for.

Actors are not being scraped regardless of settings.

As reported earlier Export Movie List has issues with the Source Folder Filter not working and with New and Reset buttons unusable.

Also as another user reported none of the fanart images are checked by default when scrapping, were with v1.3.0.9 and earlier they were.

That's the way Ember works!
Ember recognizes only the images that are named like they are set in the settings. If you have set "poster.jpg" Ember looking for "poster.jpg", if you have set "poster.tbn" Ember looking for "poster.tbn". If you have more than one selected, Ember tried to find at least one of them.
F5 rescan the folder and checks all the files if they match the settings.

Bulk Renamer need only a nfo (respectively a database entry) to list the movie.

Actor thumbs and actors only be scrapped if activated. This works perfect.

Another use has solve the problem with a fresh installation of Ember.

... and btw, the source filter work also.

Thanks for replying Dan and clearing up my confusion with what artwork will show up.

Regarding the other issues, I'm sorry to report that they are issues. Here is a link to a video of the whole install process and problems on a FRESH Win 7 Pro SP1 PC. Another fresh new windows install with all updates. The only programs that are on it are VLC, Camtasia and Filezilla. The two previous PC's didn't have any other programs installed. So 3 fresh systems with no prior EMM install. I'm in software development so I understand how important being able to start with a fresh PC to replicate an issue is as well as demonstrating in detail any issues found. So unless there is some setting I'm missing, these must be bugs. You'll get to see my settings this way as well, and I've sped up the update processes where needed. Do you have a fresh system to try out yourself, such as maybe a Virtual PC?

EDIT: Oops I neglected to include Bulk Renamer issue so here's a quick 30sec video on it:
http://youtu.be/YkOv4RLcezg

Again, you don't have activated "Enable Actor Cache" in the video. If you want .actor (thumbs) activate this option.

In the movie exporter click again the filter button to activate the source filter.

The bulk renamer work only with movie they have a nfo. Ember need the NFO to read the movie name, year and all other stuff to rename the files.

Is not a bug, is a feature Smile
Where do your expect ember to find the trailers?

In the folder next to the main feature and associated artwork ... and be picked up as being present (and thus, does not need re-downloading) no matter what format it is.

A popular plug-in allows trailers from Apple's trailer site ... and as you would expect, they are all .MOV.

It's not a feature, it's a bug Smile

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - pfp_az - 2013-03-03

I'm hoping someone could help me with a small problem I'm encountering. I'm noticing that the audio stream data Ember retrieves from MediaInfo is not always accurate. For all the instances I've found so far this is only occurring with 7.1 audio tracks. I placed the latest MediaInfo DLL (0.7.62.0) in the Ember Bin directory and I'm also running the GUI version of MediaInfo (0.7.62) to verify the results.

This is The Bourne Legacy in Ember (1 audio stream - 6 channel dts):
Image

Here it is in MediaInfo directly (2 audio streams, the first 8 channel dts is missing from Ember):

This is The Avengers in Ember (1 audio stream with no details):

and now in MediaInfo directly (It's 8 channel dts):

This is Brave in Ember (1 audio stream with no details):

and now in MediaInfo directly (It's 8 channel truehd):

I've also seen similar issues with Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, ET, Cinderella, and Finding Nemo.

I've tried this is both Ember 1.3.0.09 ad 1.3.0.10.
Could anyone please advise on what I might need to do to fix this?

Thank you

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Cocotus - 2013-03-03

@pfp_az
I believe the cause of the problem might be Chanel Info: 8 Channel/ 6 Channel which Ember might not read correctly.. Can you confirm that all problematic movies are scanned 8 / 6 Channel in Mediainfo?

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - pfp_az - 2013-03-03

In addition to the three that I posted the MediaInfo audio output I've so far only come across the four others mentioned and they all have Channel(s): 8 channels / 6 channels. I have many more movies I can scan if more input might be helpful.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - pfp_az - 2013-03-03

I also have movies with a 6.1 audio track like American Psycho and Blade Trinity which also have this issue in Ember. In these cases MediaInfo has Channel(s): 7 channels / 6 channels

I think I found the problem in Ember code. Ember expects only one number under channel-info or channelInfo display like "8/6" (without spaces). Your movies have a mixup of letters, spaces in there so Ember can't analyze that.

Now can you check for other movies that are displayed correct, if they have only numeric values stored under "ChannelInfo"? That would help.

That did the trick, the entry didn't exist in the advancedsettings.xml file. Thanks!
