Weird, that's what I thought it should be happening but no. I had the highlight color set to a dark grey (with selection box set to white tho) but it wasn't working. Now that you mentioned it, I have changed the highlight color to a teal and now, it's showing.

No onto select the best layout, etc. Btw, am I right in that I can't choose an ActivateWindow action as a widget right? (or any other action for that matter). I ask because on other skins I've seen that they show system settings as a widget over the settings top menu and things like that.

Thanks for the hard work and the amazing skin!

I know this could probably be done by hitting info or mapping a key, but I do like slim remotes and have no extra keys.  Perhaps you could consider bringing it back for Live TV similar to watching recordings. Thank you.
There will be an option soon to switch between the two styles

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I do not think this is possible now?  If not, are you still considering?  Thank you.

Am I using wrong version of AZ2 if its got dependency with incompatible add on?

Are you installing it from the repo? I routinely install the skin fresh in test instances, and have never seen this.

Yes from repo.
I will save my settings and re install it to see if it helps

That's correct. Widgets need to be either a playlist, plugin path, library node, or folder.

However, there are a couple of special widgets in "default widgets > other" for settings and weather.

Thanks for the response! that's what I imagined. No biggie though. Was mostly because I'm pretty picky when it comes to get things how I like them, maybe prof. bias, and wanted to know if some of the functions could be added to other menus as widgets. No problem anyway, I think I have it almost perfectly configured to my taste. There are a couple things here or there that I'd like to see (some of them small adds to the skin, others I think would be on Kodi itself) but nothing major. The skin is wonderful and works perfectly.

I spent a full day just reviewing all skins from the kodi repository and the only one that I kept alonside AZ2 for more than a day was Eminence, but Zephyr is prettier and way more flexible.

RE: Arctic: Zephyr 2 - NotYourAverageAl - 2019-12-04

hey @jurialmunkey, i have a request. I want to have no fanart in my library view, but also at the same show widget fanart and clearlogo in the Basic home screen

I have some pics to kinda make it clearer.
What I want

What I get - I know i can create a playlist, but the images dont match up with the spotlight widget and I dont get clearlogos with a playlist

RE: Arctic: Zephyr 2 - lococola - 2019-12-04

This is a fantastic skin! I have been configuring it for the past hour, getting everything just right. Smile

Having an issue though. I have the Home Menu set to Horizontal menu with multiple widgets. But I am not using widgets on any submenu except for a custom made Weather submenu.
However, now the background artwork for each submenu looks very faded. I guess that is done because normally you would see widgets here. But I would prefer this background to just look normal.

When I switch to the Basic home menu everything is fine, except then my Weather submenu does not immediately display the weather information on the main screen.

Is there any way to fix this?

RE: Arctic: Zephyr 2 - sabre6 - 2019-12-04

Does anyone know if there is a way to hide a specific add-on from an add-on widget?  For example, I have a widget that shows all video add-ons on the home page.  The list includes 'Skin Helper Service Widgets'.  Now I do not want to disable this, as it is needed, but just dont want it to show up on the home screen widget (for video add-ons) as I will never click on it.  Thank you.

RE: Arctic: Zephyr 2 - ramis52 - 2019-12-05

Hi,

i tried using the skin on kodi 19 dev builds. iam getting an Error from skin shortcuts when builing the menu. i tried using the skin shortcut with python3 support from here (https://github.com/mikesilvo164/script.skinshortcuts/tree/python_3) but no luck building the menus.
Anyone have an idea how to get this awesome skin  working in kodi 19?

RE: Arctic: Zephyr 2 - Tired Dad - 2019-12-06

Hello @jurialmunkey

I've noticed that sometimes, but not always, when I start Kodi some menu items are missing.  The place where they should be is a blank line.  Choosing "reload skin" seems to correct it; is this a Kodi issue or a skin issue?  I've noticed it in some of your other skins like Aura but can't say I've seen it in the default.

Also, I've noticed the home layout menu occasionally reverts back to horizontal format with "basic" as the menu style. When I change it back to "vertical menu| multiple widgets" and the menu style to "icons + text" it sticks for a few days before reverting to the default.

Lastly, is there any way on the Surface to change Kodi so it always display in 16L9 instead of 3:2?  I don't believe your skins are aspect ratio agnostic and they cut off part of the posters in 3:2

Do you use profiles? Skin strings not loading is a known bug with profiles and nothing much I can do about it. Reloading the skin is the only solution.

Because the menu setting is saved as a skin string this is why it sometimes reverts back to default layout.

Can't comment on aspect ratios as all my devices are 16:9 and the skin is designed for that ratio.

Try that, it worked for me.

- create a autoexec.py file at your userdata folder and under each profile-name-folder under userdata -> profiles -> <profile-name>
- fill each autoexec.py with the following content:

Code:
import xbmc
xbmc.executebuiltin('ReloadSkin()')

That will cause a skin reload at every profile switch.

@jurialmunkey
Can you not install the command directly in the skin?
