- nul7 - 2010-01-20 Round 2 of the test builds are up on http://www.mediafire.com/embermm Includes: > Improved filters > Improved show detection > Support for single files with multiple episodes/seasons > GUI and code optimizations > All reported bugs fixed (hopefully) > Misc tweaks and changes Once again, please delete your database and settings file, even if you tried the last test build. jondr13 Wrote:Also regarding tv shows, I cant right click on the show, the season or the episode to edit the info like you can on the movies. Is this something that will be added in the final release? Not there yet... just trying to make sure all shows are detected and loaded correctly before moving on to editing/scraping/renaming/etc. bob_loblaw Wrote:Thanks for that. I searched for "test release" which didn't return any relevant matches, but was obviously the wrong term to use. 1> Hopefully fixed in the latest test build. If not, I added more error logging so if it does happen again we should know why (I can't reproduce this). 2> Clicking the "Update Library" button scans for both movies and tv. If you click the little arrow on the right, it will drop down a menu so you can select the exact source to update. I haven't yet added only all movies or only all tv, but I'll get to that tomorrow. 3> If the shows were all listed in a treeview, there would be no elegant/easy way to display whether each item contains the proper files (if it has a poster, fanart, nfo). 4> Not yet. Haven't gotten as far as editing yet. lol And I disabled the refresh button for tv shows because at this point it doesn't do anything. 5> Season posters are detected already and loaded to the db.... I just haven't gotten around to displaying them yet. Didn't add season fanart detection because according to the wiki, XBMC doesn't support this. Thanks everyone for the feedback. Keep in mind these are early test builds. Don't expect them to have full functionality. I'm not concerned with feature requests at this time as I'm taking things step by step... and right now I'm only on the first step: loading TV Shows. Once we make sure everything is loading correctly, we can move on. - HiSoC8Y - 2010-01-20 olympia Wrote:Are you an xbmc or a YAMJ user? YAMJ user. - nul7 - 2010-01-20 HiSoC8Y Wrote:YAMJ user. Then you need to enable YAMJ compatible sets. I just noticed the setting is in a funky spot (Settings > Movies/Scraper - Data > Options).... why it was put there is beyond me. lol I'll move it for the next release. - HiSoC8Y - 2010-01-20 nul7 Wrote:Then you need to enable YAMJ compatible sets. I just noticed the setting is in a funky spot (Settings > Movies/Scraper - Data > Options).... why it was put there is beyond me. lol I'll move it for the next release. i did enable that. the sets are not showing in the "Sets Manager" however, the nfo files have the parameters that i created before upgrading EMM. weird...really need help! - blaize - 2010-01-20 It worked fine for me, loaded the shows without a problem. It's also the first media manager that didnt give me trouble for series with only 1 season. - elecga - 2010-01-20 Everythings now showing up for me, including movies. Just wanted to make sure, media.emm is now the db file? - olympia - 2010-01-20 nul7 Wrote:Then you need to enable YAMJ compatible sets. I just noticed the setting is in a funky spot (Settings > Movies/Scraper - Data > Options).... why it was put there is beyond me. lol I'll move it for the next release. That place was set by me.... Don't blame Dazza... lol - coendeurloo - 2010-01-20 Wonderful program, really loving it! But (there's always a but ![]() ![]() I got the latest build. Edit: renaming it to just 'shows' worked. It does not load any TV shows though, and clearing the cache, cleaning the database and reloading all movies made most of my normal movies dissapear from the movies tab. Edit #2: after removing the movies source from the settings menu and re-adding it, it didn't load any movies anymore...thank god I made a backup ![]() Edit #3: I deleted the original folder, unpacked a clean Ember version and overwritten it with the new tv shows beta, tried the same, still nothing loading up. - nul7 - 2010-01-20 HiSoC8Y Wrote:i did enable that. Strange... I haven't messed with the sets code in ages, so I'm not sure what's going on there. I'll look at it later today if I remember. Might be a good idea to file a bug report on embermm.com, though. EDIT: Just gave the sets code a quick scan, and it's all messed up. I'll work on it for the next test build. blaize Wrote:It worked fine for me, loaded the shows without a problem. Excellent. Thanks for trying it out! elecga Wrote:Everythings now showing up for me, including movies. Great... thanks. Media.emm has always been the db file. ![]() olympia Wrote:That place was set by me.... Don't blame Dazza... lol lol What were you thinking?!? ![]() coendeurloo Wrote:Wonderful program, really loving it! Do you have anything in your error log? What does it do with you hit the "Update Library" button? Does it not do anything at all or does it look like it's processing and loading videos but nothing shows up in the lists? - coendeurloo - 2010-01-20 I have done it all over again, and now it randomly seem to load everything just fine, weird! One problem - it doesn't sort my movies consisting of 2 cd's properly: ![]() Edit: renaming for instance 2012[CD1].avi to 2012-cd1.avi seems to delete them from the library completely, weird! Edit #2: Doing a fresh install fixed the 2 cd's issue...but now it won't load any new movie I place in my movie folder. It just doesn't update the library with them. - nul7 - 2010-01-20 coendeurloo Wrote:I have done it all over again, and now it randomly seem to load everything just fine, weird! [CDx] wasn't a detected stacking marker... improved for next release. EDIT TO YOUR EDIT: The file scanners now account for lastwritetime. It makes the scanning MUCH quicker. However, depending on your system and where your movies are stored, the lastwritetime may take a minute or two to update. Then if you scan before the lastwritetime has updated, the folders will be skipped. You can disable checking lastwritetime in the settings under the sources section. It will take longer, but it will always scan each folder for changes. There is also a new option to enable/disable cleaning of the db after each scan. Disabling it also speeds up the scan (and helps if you forget to connect a portable drive or whatever), but then if you delete movies outside of Ember, it will not automatically remove them unless you manually clean the database (in the tools menu) or right-click and remove from db. - MrDVD - 2010-01-21 I did an test with the last testbuild on an fresh folder without any Media.emm or Settings.xml in it on an W7 64bit pc where the series are located on an linux pc (connected via samba). And all this series have nfos for all seasons and episodes but EMM didnt fine all. (maybe 1/3 found correct) It see for an example: 24-S01e01.avi 24-S01e01.nfo 24-S01e01.tbn 4400-s01e01rp.avi 4400-s01e01rp.nfo 4400-s01e01rp.tbn crow-ax-s01e01.avi crow-ax-s01e01.nfo crow-ax-s01e01.tbn s01e01-02 Operation Zeitsprung.avi s01e01-02 Operation Zeitsprung.nfo s01e01-02 Operation Zeitsprung.tbn (YES, thx now this multipart eps are working) but it didnt see: Band.of.Brothers.S01E01.2001.BluRay.1080p.x264.Robby.DL.mkv Band.of.Brothers.S01E01.2001.BluRay.1080p.x264.Robby.DL.nfo Band.of.Brothers.S01E01.2001.BluRay.1080p.x264.Robby.DL.tbn Pt-Bsg.S01e01.avi Pt-Bsg.S01e01.nfo Pt-Bsg.S01e01.tbn and so on. EMM say for all Series the arent found correct that there are no Poster, Fanart, nfo and this down to all seasons and episodes and also episode name. For Band of Brothers it say "Band of Brotherbluray" and to Battlestar "Pt-Bsg" to the episode name. Band.of.Brothers.S01E01.2001.BluRay.1080p.x264.Robby.DL.nfo looks like this atm: Code: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> btw. this "Rob by" must be a Forum bug its witout space ![]() - nul7 - 2010-01-21 lol I'm confused... first you say: MrDVD Wrote:but it didnt see: as though it's not detecting these episodes, then you say: MrDVD Wrote:For Band of Brothers it say "Band of Brotherbluray" and to Battlestar "Pt-Bsg" to the episode name. as though it IS detecting the episodes, but not naming them properly. Which is it? lol EDIT: And as far as the naming... try moving the top 4 show and episode filters to the bottom... just above "\.[->] " - MrDVD - 2010-01-21 For me its only detected when EMM display the correct data ![]() But you right if you see it from your point of view, its detected but display crap ![]() Edit: here an picture: ![]() - nul7 - 2010-01-21 MrDVD Wrote:For me its only detected when EMM display the correct data You build from SVN, no? If so, try updating the source and building a new one. Be sure to delete your settings file so it can revert to the new, slightly tweaked default filters. I also did a slight tweak to the nfo reading (as well as some other minor changes throughout the day). |
