RE: Managing music albums Box-Sets properly with KODI library feature - garfield - 2020-10-13 What is TSST? Wrong covert arts keep existing after KODI restarts but in most cases just rescanning the database without deleting the MyMusic81.db file helps. Unfortunately it is all I can currently add to those bugs' descriptions. RE: Managing music albums Box-Sets properly with KODI library feature - garfield - 2020-10-13 DaveBlake, attached please find a screenshot of a glitch in Kodi's music DB. Two versions of the same album are treated as a Boxset with German CD as the first disc and the US high resolution download as the second one. Both are properly tagged separate files in their respective folders inside the Boxset's folder, but the CD rip also contains the cuesheet in the same folder as its files. In all other (and hope in this also) cases the cuesheet related to the tagged files is successfully ignored by Kodi. As you can see both discs show the same length but it actually is the length of the US files as the German CD's length is 1:01:58. Also the Boxset offers the cover art from US download folder instead of using its own cover art which exists in the main Boxset's folder. Have no idea how to show it unless you want me to record my screen. Once again I don't know how to reproduce this glitch with other Boxsets but this particular one keeps existing even after deleting/recreating the database file. The deleted folder still exists in the music library after cleaning. Just in case, I'm using Kodi in portable mode. You need to scroll down the system>settings>media>library screen to the music library section RE: Managing music albums Box-Sets properly with KODI library feature - DaveBlake - 2020-10-13 (2020-10-13, 13:27)garfield Wrote: Two versions of the same album are treated as a Boxset with German CD as the first disc and the US high resolution download as the second one. Failing that a look at your MyMusic80.db (or whatever version you are on) file could give some clues. RE: Managing music albums Box-Sets properly with KODI library feature - garfield - 2020-10-13 I've cleaned the Music Library, DaveBlake. Anyway I've recreated the database file and this glitch is no more. As for the Depeche Mode's "Speak & Spell" covers mess I've checked the cuesheet and discovered that its DATE tag looks like REM DATE 1981-10-05. After I've changed it to REM DATE 1981.10.05 (as my files are tagged) it has just taken the 1st CD's cover instead of the second's one. But still ignores the boxset's cover art. Please check the PM, there is ~2Gb download. Additionally, while my Artists folders have folder.jpg, some of them are ignored and use the first album's cover art for artist. Everything is OK with artists' arts with Kodi 18. RE: Managing music albums Box-Sets properly with KODI library feature - DaveBlake - 2020-10-13 @garfield I have deleted/renamed folders and cleaned many times, never encountered a glitch of any kind. If you reproduce this at some time then send me your music database file naming the folders that have been removed/renamed and the albums that "won't go". I have your music files and will check through it a bit later. Quote:Additionally, while my Artists folders have folder.jpg, some of them are ignored and use the first album's cover art for artist. Everything is OK with artists' arts with Kodi 18.Again, without knowing the folder/file layout in these specific cases it is impossible to comment. RE: Managing music albums Box-Sets properly with KODI library feature - garfield - 2020-10-13 Very simple: Artist\YYYY.MM.DD - Album\01. Title or Artist\YYYY.MM.DD - Boxset\№. Discsubtitle\01. Title. Only and always. Every folder has its own corresponding folder.jpg file. See https://id3.org/d3v2.3.0 and there's no mention of TSST. RE: Managing music albums Box-Sets properly with KODI library feature - DaveBlake - 2020-10-13 Looking at Speak & Spell example Firstly some terminology: this is not being seen as a boxset by Kodi, but as an album with two discs. If you want it to be taken as a boxset and appear on the boxset node then either a) there have to be 3 or more discs involved with 3 disc subtitles, or b) have to include "boxset" in the album type (read from tag RELEASETYPE in .FLAC or custom type "MUSICBRAINZ ALBUM TYPE" for .mp3 or <type> in album.nfo) What you are reporting is the behaviour of an album with 2 discs: a) the duration shown for each disc and the album total (both together) b) the artwork used for the album The artwork is easy. The "album folder" is the folder common to all the music files for that album and no music files from any other album. In this case the common folder is that above HiRes and Stereo, there is no folder.jpg located there. Hence it uses the first one that it scans of the folder.jpg in the disc subfolder. The durations shown I am going to need to do some more investigation. It works fine with Kodi 19 α2. Setting this tag with MP3tag also works fine. TSST doesn't work either set via Picard nor via MP3tag. ID3v2.4 both. |
