it's been asked for a couple of times in the past,
and now it's available in Transparency!
genre backdrops:
you can download a genre background pack here:
http://transparency-xbmc.googlecode.com/files/VideoGenreFanart.zip
or use your own.
to enable,
Skin Settings > Videos - Use genre backgrounds
and select the folder where your backdrops are stored.
if anyone has a nice genre pack for music, i'll add it as well :-)

Nice to see a few more skins enhancing this underused feature of XBMC
I have a few music genre fanart pic's I've collected.. you've prob seen a few before, and the sizes are all over the shop, (need some some IrfanView love..) but it's a start..

ok, thanx to Steveb, now also music genre backdrops:
music genre backgrounds can be downloaded here:

or you can use your own pack.

Here are some more video genre fanart backgrounds in the same style, they could be used as a replacement or alternative to a similar genre, also there are a few tv specific genre fanart's (Science-fiction, Reality, Mini-series).

Whenever I try to enter my movie library, the skin gives addon.py error. I have to go the library via the files mode, from the movie menu. I am using xbmc dt 17th april and T! Svn version. What and why such error is occuring?

hard to tell without a Debug Log...
might be the cinema experience script?
have you enabled it to run when you enter the movie library?
Skin Settings > Scripts > Integrate Cinema Experience in home movie menu buttons

Today's nightly build for Win doesn't have a problem with recently added. ThEy moved the recentlyadded script to the XBMC core a couple of days ago, perhaps that's what causing your error
EDIT: oops...note to self: read more carefully next time, answer not relevant to your question :-P

Disabled the Cinerma experience addon and uninstalled it, now I can enter directly to the movie library. Thanks for the hint.

Making clean re-installation (database deleted) of Xbmc did the trick. Now, I get the right season banners of the Tv shows.
