When you're working on Live TV after you released your skin, maybe you could
think about adding a channel list like this (From Arctic Zephyr Mod).
Would really fit into your simplistic skin and shows a lot of channels
and information on one page.
Really looking forward for the alpha release, great job!

The images on top (scrolling and cycling) are from the library, no widgets. The scrolling will be an option as it takes a huge amount of cpu load and will look crap on low powered devices.

Would also be nice to only show tv show artwork on top, when selecting tv shows in the menu. Same for Movies.
I also like the idea that you can select something in the banner and it plays the movie/brings up episode selection for tv shows. But I don't know
if this would be possible at all.

I'm leaving the scrolling backgrounds because of huge cpu load. For now only static content, cycling each 10 and 20 seconds.
The big fanart on the right side will change to the backround of the focused item:

what you like and what you want to improve with idea and arguments is more helpful
I like the clean and simple layout in white with Video info
I dislike the fact that the dark layout is not a total dark layout (bottom part in white, i preferred it in the same color than header to keep a matching color) :

The preview pics of your skin look very sleek and modern. Great blending of info and images. Definitely will want to tryout your skin. All skinners works are always appreciated..
