RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - MidnightWatcher - 2015-09-08 (2015-09-08, 05:05)CinemaVision-Scott Wrote: I could recreate the issues you're seeing before deleting the userdata directory for scrip.cinemavision. After removing that and running the add-on, and setting it back up again, I had no issues. Go ahead and do that. I know items in the database were modified with this release, so that may be the root cause of those issues. Let me know how that goes! Deleting the CinemaVision userdata directory is the first thing I did before removing beta .30 and installing beta .31. I should also mention that I've selected the trailer module to play 3 trailers. A couple of times only 2 trailers would play, and there were instances where the same trailer repeats two or three times. I'll try deleting the userdata again and starting fresh to see if it resolves the issues. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Ragnarok - 2015-09-08 (2015-09-08, 08:58)Dave the Minion Wrote: Edit - After doing the clean install I found I am able to add local and network shares as sources at the config level which is fantastic. But then in the actual sequence I'm relegated back to only added sources. So things are part-way there. We've noticed this as well from inside the Modules. It would appear Kodi is using two different methods to browse in configuration and in add-on, which we haven't figured out how to fix yet. (2015-09-08, 08:58)Dave the Minion Wrote: The issue with trailers and custom bumpers is still there. Not sure why. I've added a few more folders as sources. I can access all these folders through the source menu and can play the files. I have other ways to access some of these sources from within Kodi and the files play. CV is just skipping anything that's not built off the root CV directory now. Also, instead of playing 2 different trailers fron the Kodi database as a source it plays the same trailer twice. Can I get a log from ya, Dave? (2015-09-08, 11:02)bigpanda Wrote: Can anyone confirm that this is working on a fire tv ? (2015-09-08, 15:10)bigpanda Wrote: Ok here goes.... We have not tested on anything outside of a PC, so thank you for doing this. This is exactly the kind of feedback we need! Your changes will be in the 0.0.32 version of the CinemaVision add-on, and I've left you a present over on the website. Thanks very much for your contribution! (2015-09-08, 16:52)Tterrafan Wrote: I use "XBMCee" for iPad. It's like the original XBMC Remote app, but with a more modern look. At some point we may create a Service Add-on to allow you to override the Play action for Kodi, which is the least intrusive way to do this. This won't be there at launch, since there are already a number of ways to start the add-on. (2015-09-08, 18:33)bushhy Wrote: Just wanted to say awesome work! Hey, thanks! Would you attach a log for us to review after running the add-on? RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Ragnarok - 2015-09-08 Just uploaded a bugfix version, 0.0.32. Please test it out. [- 0.0.32 -] - fix: Random directory issues - fix: Sequence saves on some platforms were generated with extraneous characters causing errors on load - fix: When playing a sequence from the editor, the addon was asking if you wanted to set as default the temporary sequence - fix: Queue dialog now allows moving items with a mouse - fix: Video bumpers failed to play when 'Random' was selected and 'Directory' set as source - fix: Trailer repeat issue RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Dave the Minion - 2015-09-08 (2015-09-08, 19:25)CinemaVision-Scott Wrote: Can I get a log from ya, Dave? I'd made a post thinking 0.3.1 was suddenly working after sleeping on things for a night but forgot I'd reverted back to 0.3.0 to test if it still worked and 0.3.1 was still having major issues. Then I saw the 0.3.2 update. This fixes everything and I love being able to skip the cue screen when playing from the movie info screen. It's getting closer. I can feel it. Just stay on target! Good on your Scott for everything! All I do is take your feedback and logs and hand them to our developer. He's doing all the real work, here. Everyone, keep the feedback coming and help us squash some bugs! RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - marhutchy - 2015-09-08 Haven't tested the updated version as yet. Do I just uninstall previous version only and then install updated version? Does the intermission feature pauses the movie and then plays something and then resume? Is that what it does? Or is it for between features? The Now Showing video that I see on the website, where would one put that? What do we use it for? RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Ragnarok - 2015-09-08 (2015-09-08, 21:41)marhutchy Wrote: Haven't tested the updated version as yet. Because it's still Beta, it's a good idea to go ahead and uninstall and then remove the script.cinemavision directory from your userdata\addon_data directory, and then install the latest version. Intermission is just a type of Video Bumper. It does not pause the movie currently. We've discussed adding in this functionality in a future release, and have added it to our roadmap. Right now, it's just a placeholder between features. Thanks! RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - blackreign66 - 2015-09-08 The latest beta is nearly perfect for me. Do you have plans to implement some sort of conditional option to play any bumper we choose depending on the file name, like for instance an IMAX trailer before an IMAX movie? Thanks Scott That's good to hear! We do have plans to implement conditional playback based on a number of conditions, including filename tags. We'll be using the Command Module to accomplish this. That's going to be something we add in round two of development, because it will take quite a bit of effort to implement beyond the current scope. We do utilize filename tagging for 3D features to determine what bumpers to play, and those tags will be editable within the add-on on release. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - micahpearson - 2015-09-09 Whenever I try to update the content, I get an error. Here's the log: http://pastebin.com/TLYuZZYf I'm on a mac mini, with OSX 10.8 EDIT: Oh, and I'm using the RC1 of Isengard, so that might be a problem. Thanks for taking on this project! Could you please elaborate on what is planned for the future? And who is creating these contents? RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - MidnightWatcher - 2015-09-09 Beta 0.32 is working great on both the RPi2 and PC. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - GoofyJeff - 2015-09-09 I'll download and test 0.32 tomorrow. I just upgraded to a 40" Vizio from a 27" Toshiba, so tonight I'm enjoying the much bigger picture... |
