i'm not sure but keep in mind yahoo might just block that cookie when many people start using it. RE: Multi Weather - blueribb - 2024-06-17 As I stated before, Multi Weather continues to work perfectly for me on 2 Intel NUCs running Libreelec 12.0 (kodi 21.0). My Desktop computer running windows 10 and Kodi is another story - Multi Weather doesn't work at all there. I disabled it and installed NOAA from the repository. In settings, I left the first line (longitute/latitude) alone and chose the closest city for line 2 (in my case - Northeast Philadelphia). I input the name in line 3 (Philadelphia) and now it works just fine. You might want to try this weather addon. Good Luck RE: Multi Weather - Genuine3000 - 2024-06-20 Thx for sharing Ronie hope you find a permanent solution RE: Multi Weather - antivirtel - 2024-06-29 Hi, the addon stopped working for me today without any previous cookies. I'm on Kodi 20.5.0 on Vero 4K+ (ARM, OSMC, Debian) in the UK. That doesn't work, but I'm not sure if that cookie already got blocked by Yahoo, does anyone know? I can post a debug log like it was mentioned in post #1, but I guess it won't provide any news, would it? Thank you RE: Multi Weather - ronie - 2024-06-30 that's the wrong file ;-) you need to substitute those values in this one: ~/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/weather.multi/settings.xml RE: Multi Weather - Bill Gates - 2024-06-30 (2024-06-30, 15:20)ronie Wrote: that's the wrong file ;-) None of this works on my System "LibreELEC 12.0 with Kodi (Omega) v21.0". I have modified those 3 lines exactly, in the path specified by you and nothing has happened. It repeats the same problem that has brought us here. For now I am using 'GISMETEO' as my provider but it is not as accurate as 'Multi.Weather' which always worked for me until a little more than 1 month ago until one day without any human intervention it stopped getting the forecast data. If you page back thru and read the discussion here you will discover that the actual issue is due to Yahoo Weather and unfortunately their is currently no real fix.(2024-06-30, 15:20)ronie Wrote: that's the wrong file ;-) RE: Multi Weather - antivirtel - 2024-06-30 Reading the previous posts I have backups going back a year for the same device (monthly backup retention of the older stuff), but wouldn't that have the exact same cookie which stopped working just now? Or how was this cookie originally fetched? I have 3 other installations, some have backups with the same retention (the rest is not critical) - I can check those. Is there a way to just copy the cookie from a desktop browser? Or does it only have a short lifespan? RE: Multi Weather - axbmcuser - 2024-06-30 @antivirtel Besides being okay with the still working old cookies, i made some experiments trying to extract working cookie strings after using yahoo.com on a desktop web browser. I could not get things to work with the new "desktop-browser"-cookie when trying to port it to the Kodi Add-on - but i might very well have missed something! ronie possibly has more knowledge in this regard. RE: Multi Weather - D-m-x - 2024-07-01 I had that same issue but I'm honestly not sure why. Getting the Cookie and the Crumb Values from the Yahoo Website is easy. Additionally I've used the Epoch Converter (https://www.epochconverter.com/) to get the current time and set those in the settings file. Although extraction of the Cookie and Epoch Time varied by a few seconds/minutes as I've done those step by step. However when setting those in the file the values changed after a reboot as if they were refreshed. Using the Cookie + Crump & Stamp ronie provided works though. Maybe @ronie can help here? If the manual extraction would work we could use that in the meantime since the Cookie is valid for 1 Year and we don't have to all use the same. Do you know why that could fail? Encoding seems fine, I copied it straight from point a to b. RE: Multi Weather - devkid - 2024-07-07 I reinstalled my installation to Omega and I had this addon working in the past. I now read about the problems regarding the cookies and I would like to try to use my old settings. But I cannot find the addon currently in Kodi to install it: I have seen on Github that the addon has been marked as "broken". Is that the reason it does not show up in Kodi? Is there a way in Kodi to still show it? Or is there a ZIP available somewhere which can be used to install the latest version? The one here seems quite old (0.0.22): https://kodi.tv/addons/omega/weather.multi/ Thanks alot! RE: Multi Weather - devkid - 2024-07-07 I zipped the 0.26 version from backup manually and installed that from ZIP. The put my old settings.xml back also and it worked. RE: Multi Weather - Jeffers24 - 2024-07-07 Just booted Kodi. Got a multiweather addon update. Then told that multiweather addon had been disabled! Why do a disabling addon update?? RE: Multi Weather - axbmcuser - 2024-07-07 Tested on Kodi 21, i have no problems disabling and enabling MultiWeather with todays update 0.0.27 The add-on is marked as broken, but can still be (re-)enabled. Also, weather data still works while using an old/valid cookie. As far as i can see, there is no need to downgrade to 0.0.26 |
