Since yesterday I cannot add items to My List in the Kodi add-on but those same items are indeed added to My List in Netflix’s truly awful Windows app. It is all very frustrating. Nobody is trying to get something for nothing. Wake up Netflix and add to your customer base. RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - mollyrocco - 2024-06-19 hi i am running windows 11 with kodi 19.5 matrix, i am getting a error saying netflix ads plans are not supported on kodi 19 any advice would be great thanks RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - gujal - 2024-06-22 From the developer's git Warning DUE TO CHANGES TO THE WEBSITE THAT PREVENT THE PROPER PLAYBACK OF VIDEOS, THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ADD-ON HAS BEEN SUSPENDED. THE VIDEO PLAYBACK, WHEN IT WORKS, IS LIMITED TO SD QUALITY AND ONLY ON SOME LINUX/ANDROID DEVICES. WHO WANTS TO HELP FIND A SOLUTION TO THE PLAYBACK PROBLEM CAN FIND SOME INFO ON THE ISSUE #1627. As Netflix progressively turned on VMP on top of Widevine for platforms, the addon has stopped working on those platforms. The last one standing for now is on aarch64 linux (CoreElec/LibreElec). Nothing can be done about fixing this, as the dev says, because Kodi-InpustreamAdaptive would have to be certified by Google for VMP, which is highly unlikely RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - Alison1234 - 2024-06-23 Hi all, I started using Kodi on a Raspberry Pi 5 a couple of months ago and it was working fine. But recently I've been having issues with the Netflix addon. Sometimes it just freezes during playback and the only way to carry on watching is to reboot the pi. I've checked the error log and it seems to be caused by some sort of timeout, but I'm not sure exactly where this is or how to fix it. I've read various posts on this forum and on github, but they're mostly from a few years ago and the solutions they suggest don't seem applicable anymore (e.g. links that no longer work to code updates by CastagnaIT). Could anyone possibly help me out? I'm a newbie when it comes to programming, so any help would be much appreciated! Here's the error log, the errors start from 2024-06-23 21:36:37.067: https://paste.kodi.tv/oralefipih.kodi RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - JNRW - 2024-06-24 (2024-06-23, 22:36)Alison1234 Wrote: Hi all, Dear @Alison1234. Owing to Netflix playing silly buggers the brilliant Kodi Netflix addon no longer works. It really is that simple. It is a great shame and it has impacted on many, many previously very happy users of this particular addon. RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - Alison1234 - 2024-06-24 Hi JNRW, Thanks for your reply! That's certainly a shame...it is kind of reassuring to know it's not something I did though. Guess we'll just carry on enjoying the moments when it does work... RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - dallascowboy - 2024-07-02 Just came back to see if any progress in the last few mnths. This is crazy, be nie if netflix or google or who ever needs to could allow us to use the app. we all have paid them to watch and have logins etc. so much easier on kodi than a web browser RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - MrMagic - 2024-07-04 (2024-07-02, 05:31)dallascowboy Wrote: Just came back to see if any progress in the last few mnths. This is crazy, be nie if netflix or google or who ever needs to could allow us to use the app. we all have paid them to watch and have logins etc. so much easier on kodi than a web browser Two days ago I tried to play an old 4K Dolby Vision episode of Altered Carbon season 1. Before that I hadn't used the addon for months on my Shield 2019 Pro. To my surprise, the episode started to work and I could play it for more than 2 minutes. However, the next day, it would work anymore. The episode seems to start playing, but no video output is showing. In both cases I did a reset of the ESN in the addon settings before I started playing. So it's quite confusing. Why would it work briefly and stop working again the next day? It's a mystery to me. RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - sagrath - 2024-07-07 At this point, I do not believe that the Netflix addon for Kodi will be restored. Apparently the changes made by Netflix broke many aspects that made playing videos through Kodi possible. I even tried to revive the old Netflix addon, Flix2Kodi to at least use Kodi to list the films/series and when selecting, open the browser to watch. But as our knowledge is too limited for this, it did not yield positive results. And based on that principle, I think something like Flix2kodi would be the best solution at the moment. RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - Critical457 - 2024-07-10 Hello, I have a problem with the authentication file on TV TCL 55C728. I've uploaded it on TV, but inside Kodi I do not see it. Like it is not there. I see it with the file manager(X-plorer) outside Kodi. I tried different folders like Documents, Downloads etc. but nothing helps. Kodi still doesn't see the file. On the Xiaomi Mi Box, I had no problems. I am able to choose the authentication file in the Kodi with no problems at all. Can somebody help me, please? RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - sask3m - 2024-07-12 Not sure why but it's working for me again. and today it's not, lol. RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - Critical457 - 2024-07-13 (2024-07-10, 18:07)Critical457 Wrote: Hello,The soultion is very simple, change app permission to allow all the time in Andoird settings. I was able to watch a movie just one time, for now it's not wokring anymore... I've found the error mesage in the log - "Playback not permitted by the content policy". So for my understanding, Netflix is blocking usage of this plugin and it will never work again, right? RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - R.O.H. - 2024-08-24 Is the Kodi Netflix add-on supposed to work on the Shield? It does, 4k, Atmos, all works...?? ------------------------------------ @CastagnaIT is it possible to add a feature to your Kodi Netflix add-on so that the add-on directs us to the exact episode/movie on the original Netflix Android add-on? This is the next best thing and a good alternative when things don't work and we can't use your add-on for Kodi playback. RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - 8traxrule - 2024-08-27 When it's working, it does 4K, HDR and Atmos. But apparently it's broken, the developer has said he has given up on working on it and someone else will have to take it over. I've found for now you can at least disable 4K and it will play in 1080, but considering they charge extra for 4K I'm not going to waste my time or money paying for lower resolution. This was the ONLY way I could watch Netflix properly, their native app is ENTIRELY unusable as a serious viewer because the way they interrupt the end credits assuming I don't want to watch them is insulting and often ruins the ending of a movie (I've seen their graphics for often completely unrelated titles appear onscreen even BEFORE I knew the end credits were going to roll, it literally ruined an emotional ending.) I also do not want to see the rating banner over the first few seconds, it's annoying and often contains spoilers, and I also do not want to see the "Skip Intro" prompt appear onscreen. I would never be so impatient as to skip over a show intro, if they want to give people that option then fine but I should not have to see that prompt. This add-on did it right with a simple on/off setting for "Ask to skip intro and recap." If this is no longer going to work, I will just cancel Netflix and watch content on the high seas, where none of those annoyances occur. I would never sell a movie or show to Netflix the way they intrude on content, so anyone who does deserves to have their stuff pirated- at least I'm watching it properly and will buy it on disc later if I like it and it's available. |
