You should be seeing this, provided either movie or episodes are set to be moved or deleted in the File Management section:

I'm not seeing that, I am using 18.5.
What version are you on?

Tip: i dont see any 1.2.1. Only 1.2.0 (same as previous). Shouldnt i see 1.2.1?
try updating my repository addon. Kodi might be caching the results for a while before checking for newer versions again.

I'm on 19 nightly (I don't have an 18.x version for testing), but as far as I'm aware there are no changes in the settings (there's a whole new settings file layout which breaks backward compatibility, but I'm not using it).

Please confirm you've restarted your kodi, updated to the most recent bugfixed version 1.2.1 and send me a debug log if it's still not showing up properly.

I only updated to 1.2.0 from your GitHub.
Will try and do via the repository, apologies for this

updating from github directly is fine, but when doing that, a kodi restart or in the very least disable/reenable addon is required to get kodi to reload the language strings of the addon.

I see the following when I go to the restrictions section

https://ibb.co/YTyNvZN

My log is here uqapuquges.kodi (paste)

I am using a MySQL DB for my library, would this make any difference?

I'm using mysql libraries myself, this issue has nothing to do with the library settings though. The settings screen is rather simple in theory. It's an xml file with the sections, conditions and visibility of the settings options and references to the language strings. However, somehow the conditions don't work properly on 18.5.

Unfortunately, the log leaves debug mode just when it got interesting. There are references to the movie and episode manage settings in there and issues related to them.

Guess I'll have to set up a Kodi 18 instance tomorrow to take a closer look at what's going on there.

Thanks,
Just to confirm I have installed a portable version of 19 and it works as you've demonstrated in your screens.

RE: After Watch - AnonTester - 2019-12-30

No idea why the settings screen doesn't work properly on Kodi 18 - according to the documentation it should have....
Version 1.2.2 now contains a simplified settings menu.

Just to confirm that i see the exact same thing on LibreElec 9.0.2 (18.2 kodi). Perhaps kodi 18.X has different database system structure than 19, that's why the restriction settings screen doesn't work properly (?)

Unfortunately when i tried to boot up this morning my machine (to check the after watch 1.2.2 new update) it kept booting in safe mode (i guess smth broke my raspi3)

I will re-flash my sd card, install after watch 1.2.2, test it - and report back later.

RE: After Watch - Haris1977 - 2019-12-30

Ok, i ve just finished re-installing all from begining [LibreElec 9.2.0 based on Kodi 18.5 (Linux Kernel 4.19.x)]

1.2.2 seems to work ok - at least it works as before.

I also tried to use local scrapper for my specific tv show. This addon refuses to work. My Folder path

\\192.168.1.110\Share\Videos\Series Haris\Istanbullu Gelin 2017 (it is through nfs share)

Inside "Istanbullu Gelin 2017" folder:

fanart.jpg (in order to have a fanart/poster of the film)
thumb.jpg (in order to have a thumbnail)
Istanbullu.Gelin.S03E01.HDTV.x264.mp4
Istanbullu.Gelin.S03E01.HDTV.x264-thumb.jpg

Scrapper: local nfo files

Cant make it work.

RE: After Watch - WolvesPhil - 2020-01-01

Version 1.2.2 looks to have the restrictions working in Kodi 18.5
Will test it over the next few days and let you know...
It's mainly the shows my wife watches so I'll know soon enough if it doesn't work lol

Although off-topic for this thread (sorry), according to your listed files above you don't have any local nfo files (e.g. Istanbullu.Gelin.S03E01.HDTV.x264.nfo) so the 'Local information only' pseudo-scraper won't work.  I'd suggest reading up on what NFO files are and how KODI uses them to understand more.

RE: After Watch - b'sketti - 2020-01-18

After trying out this add-on for a while I had determined that it's not for me and my set-up (though now I might take that back — see my [EDIT] further below).

For currently airing TV shows my set-up automatically downloads new episodes and moves them to the appropriate folders I have set for my KODI TV Shows library so they're scraped and added the next time the video library is updated (which is also done automatically).  For some shows I want to keep the episodes — fine, I can just choose 'no' when prompted to delete — while for others, with more ephemeral content (e.g. The Daily Show or 8 Out Of 10 Cats) I want to delete them — mainly to conserve and provide enough space for all the content that I want to keep.

I use the 'Skin Helper Service Widgets' add-on which provides a very handy 'Next Episodes' widget.  This widget displays the next un-watched episodes of in-progress shows that have been downloaded and are ready to view.  However, if I keep deleting the last episode viewed of a specific show, the next episode that's downloaded and added to the library doesn't get added to this widget (even after refreshing the skin or restarting KODI).

I'm guessing that the only way such a widget can function is because it knows which previous episode I have watched of any given show and that info is not retained in the library database when there are no previous episodes present.  As further evidence, the widget also doesn't pick up any new shows added to the library until one of its episodes starts to play so that the library database then has a reference point.  That's also the only way I can get any 'next' episode to show up in the widget — i.e. by playing it for a few seconds so it's then seen as 'in-progress'.

I can see in the settings for this add-on, under the 'Properties' section there's an option to 'Preserve watched status' and I assume that will do what I'm wanting and leave the episode in the library database while also deleting the file — but it would probably remain only until the next time I 'clean' the library.

I'm not knocking the add-on at all, just explaining how it doesn't really work for me.

[EDIT]

While writing the above and considering what I currently do manually as the alternative — that is, to regularly manually delete all but the last episode of any such show I deem 'ephemeral' — I've come up with a possible solution to my own problem...

If I retain *one* episode for each of those shows (just not the most recent one) then I could let After Watch delete newer episodes and then future episodes should still appear in the 'Next Episodes' widget because the library database will see it as newer than the one I have retained.  They wouldn't even need to be real video files — just dummy text files named correctly and with a video-type extension.  Not an elegant solution but good enough if it works, I'll test over the next week and provide an update.
