@brono28... this has been discussed earlier in the thread p23 I think. However FYI I added the following (as mentioned by joe4444) to Includes.xml under

<!-- WrapList Info Labels ===:

<posy>420</posy>
<width>600</width>

@rand Al Thor.... you know you can have any background you like right? just stick a picture/background in a folder somewhere on the xbox and select it through the skin options...

you can get the .png here for anyone interested...

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/9400/background2bt9.png

right click save as then rename to Background2.png and overwrite the one in the SVN folder before you do a build...

Rand, all you have to do is find a black back ground picture and set this as your background in skin settings... deviantart.com has lots of them!

- Rand Al Thor - 2007-02-06

Hehe, yeah i realized that about 2 seconds after i made my post and i couldn't figure out how to edit. It's funny because i had already applied a custom back ground picture and noticed (to my suprise) that the whole skin had magically changed color. Anyway, its still early...that is my excuse anyway.

Thanks for the .png MajorTom Wink

Another question MajorTom, how do you disable the 'torn' look?

- MajorTom - 2007-02-06

? what is the "torn" look.... not sure what you mean

- Coolgamer30 - 2007-02-06

MajorTom Wrote:? what is the "torn" look.... not sure what you mean
He meant the TRON style ciruitry that you mentioned in your other post.

- mryeti - 2007-02-07

odd problem...
i replaced the background2.png in my svn folder and created a new build.
uploaded the build to the xbox, and the tron background is gone.
however, when i try to select a wallpaper i downloaded from deviantart, the background becomes black.

is there a file size limit on the background?

That's right.
Also I can't download the background MajorTom posted.

It appears as a white image on a white background. Just right click on it and choose save.

I downloaded the files and put them onto the xbox. I then go to change the skins and I can see the skin but it is greyed out and cannot select it.. I suspect I have have an older version of the skinning engine? Any ideas? Where do I get the current version from etc..

Thanks

I think I have worked it out.. DOh!! I think I am using V2.0.1.. and I need 2.1? Correct?? Trying to find a 2.1 compiled version?

Am I on the rigt path?

- timdog82001 - 2007-02-07

2.1 isnt out yet. I think theyre in the 2.1 skin version, but xbmc itself isnt in 2.1 yet.

I did that. All I get now is a black Clearity instead of blue, but still with 'Torn' look.

So what I need V2.1 of some skinning software? Any links to what I need ? Thanks.
