I'm working on an installation guide for both the MQ 7 and MQ 8 skins since a lot of folks are experiencing problems. I will update the first post on both threads when it is complete....hopefully tomorrow.

I have seen some people have mentioned once their SHS was updated to 1.1.33, they had to regenerate simplecachedb, but I cant find how to do that (pretty sure Im not using simplecachedb plugin as it is not shown in any addon list)
For those who do not see actor thumbs, there's a change to make on script skin helper service to get it to work, as @latts9923 said at https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=235676&pid=3014963#pid3014963

I'm experiencing constant kodi crashes (nearly every 9 of 10) when enter on any movies or tvshows list (I'm using currently rightlist view), even in an old kodi installed or newly fresh install. For now, the only way I've managed to get rid of it is deactivate Embuary helper script (and possibly, Embuary info, don't know if it's necessary to do that too). Every time I activate Embuary helper, enter a list and kodi crashes instantly, so, no Embuary helper o info for me. Versions are 2.0.6 for helper and 2.0.7 for info.

Hi Panko, As I have stated as well, 9 out of 10 constant crashing. I thought I narrowed it down to a setting in the skin helper widgets (pvr option to get artwork, even though I wasnt going into the Live TV section). I might give disabling the Embuary Helper a try.

I am positive the issue is with Skin Helper and what it calls as that is the last thing written to the log (SHS starting) before Kodi crashes.... And of course, when Kodi crashes, it doesn't write anything to the log (its that hard of a crash). The desktop only comes back 30 seconds after the crash, so I don't know what is occurring then.

I was excited when I saw this, but, unfortunately, this fix still does not work for me. When I go to the TV Shows menu item, select up to pick one of the new series/series with new episodes, I see the actors on the bottom right. However, when I go into the Series and either Season or Episode level, selecting more info brings up all info, except the actor images across the bottom section of the screen. What is shown, is the place holders for the Actors images. Im using the KodiFlixTV view.

Did you figure out how to remove simplecache.db? If not it's located in userdata/addon_data/script.module.simplecache.
Thanks for letting me know about the sunny animation. I'll change it so that it gets disabled if you disable weather effects.

I did a clean install as per your updated instructions at #1. Only installed the add-ons listed in that post.
Was OK until I added my media (TV Shows, Movies, Music) and then the skin began crashing. Fixed by deleting the add-on: 'service.library.data.provider'.
I have a Kodi19.0/Windows 10 set-up.
