That's worked, thanks Dan

I did a clean install of Ember 1.3.0.10.1. Initially everything worked (library was scanned, I could add movies, change posters and fanart) but now the movie pane is PINK. Library updating never finishes and changes of movies are not possible anymore. The movies are not marked or locked (according to the context menu). Ember has read/write access to the share with media.

What is the meaning of the pink color?

I am ready to make a Donation to Ember as it has made managing my media library a breeze instead of a chore. Is the donation link in the current download still active and the funds going to the right folks to support the effort?

XBMC has decided it doesn't want to show the metadata edits.. any ideas why?

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - ShadowTek - 2013-04-03

Has something happened to the scrapper part of Ember? I just scraped my movies (about 800) and it got more then half wrong (all my movies are named correctly Movie (Year) same with folder) and it never failed to add things like in 3D or The IMAX experience or some such (like the movie 300 will be named: 300: The IMAX Experience) after many movies. It would also name movies like the Pirates of the Caribbean = P.O.T.C. and other nonsense. In other words its impossible to scap your movies without going back and renaming all of them afterwards, I scraped with XBMC using the universal scraper, and it only got one movie wrong.

I don't remember Ember being so bad at scrapping, does this sound like I forgot some setting or something? Literally more then half the movies were incorrect. Is there a way to set it to use the Universal scrapper, scrapping IMDB scrapping method? not the actual scrapper obviously, but at least its technique?

I wanted to re-scrap all my movies so I could add the MPAA descriptions to them but after seeing what it did had to re export from XBMC to fix all the nfo files.

Please tell me theres some obvious setting or something Im doing wrong Sad

Thanks for the work on this program.

The german movie scraper for ofdb is a bit broken. Genre and Plot Outline both have HTML tags in it (<span>)
Where is the actual scraper part located in the source ? Couldnt find it in a quick look. I guess it will be some RegEx's that need fixing. Could help with that.

Also when I scrape movies the program hangs on every movie, because it renames the folder (I have set it like that) and then doesnt find the nfo after that. I need to shut down EMM over task manager then restart and reload movie database db and then scrape that movie again till it scrapes next movie... then repeat.

OFDB is fixed on Github.
The most of the renamer issues are also fixed and we made a new release in next 2 days.

This week I updated to 1.3.0.10.1 Just scraped a tv show, it finds the correct show but there is no OK button to continue. Same happens when I change existing shows. Manually entering a tvdb code also doesnt bring me any ok button. Also cant resize the window to see any buttons. Any clue?

Do you have it even tried with a fresh installation?

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - kees667 - 2013-04-03

No I updated, have evolved my settings over the last months, can I back those up or do I need a full clean reinstall?

Please try a fresh installation with one tv show in order to isolate the problem (make a backup of all old files or use a new folder for the new version).
What was your last version?

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - kees667 - 2013-04-03

Hi,

Already made a fresh reinstall in a new folder. Still the same issue. the plot summary box seems to overlap them. I came from 1.3.0.10.1 - the version before that was a few weeks old at most.

However This is now tested on a freshly installed 1.3.0.10.1

update: changing screen resolution doesnt help. Changed names for already scraped shows and the same thing happens.
