RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - the-dreamer - 2016-03-16 change audio track is functional. subtitles are not used by me. RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - fritsch - 2016-03-19 @the-dreamer: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/9387/commits/06fc225f7cbb41c77ca02450e75846c1d8c30aca <- this should fix your CodecScreen issue. RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - sw4y - 2016-03-19 @fritsch is the updated dvbviewer addon part of your builds again? RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - fritsch - 2016-03-19 There is no update in master ... I picked everything that is upstream - I don't care or pick anything no there. Next build will have it - I dropped it some months ago when it was broken. RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - megema - 2016-03-19 Hello! I've recently bought an ASRock N3150-ITX board for my NAS & HTPC machine. I've followed your instructions from first and second post, but moving in Kodi is not fluid at all. Playing movies working totally fine. Acceleration, changing refresh rate, etc. is working. Could you help me? What I've tried: 1) Install everything like you described in first and second post for Braswell. 2) Ubuntu Desktop/Server 15.10 + Kodi 16 + kernel 4.3/4.4 +- wsnipex/vaapi + xorg.conf 3) Ubuntu Desktop/Server 16.04 + Kodi 16 +- wsnipex/vaapi => sound is gone after staring any movie 4) Ubuntu Desktop/Server 14.04.4 + Kodi 16 + kernel 4.5 + wsnipex-vaapi + xorg.conf Kodi's GUI wasn't not fluid at all with each option. For many reasons I stuck with the last one. I need a stable machine. With kernel version 4.5, there aren't any suspicious entries in syslog, dmesg and kodi.log. Just Kodi's GUI performace is bad. With my previous CPU (Intel Pentium G2030T IVB) everything was fine with Ubuntu 14.04.2 + Kodi 15.2. RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - fritsch - 2016-03-19 What happens - just4fun - if you disable VSYNC? Only for testing, please. Edit: Also a Debug Log is needed to see which intel driver you run and which res you use. You upgraded xf86-video-intel did you? RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - megema - 2016-03-19 It looks better with disabled VSYNC first, but after opening my movie library, GUI animations get really-really slow. I've forgot to mention that I use Xperience1080 skin with Kodi 16 (and default with Kodi 17). kodi.log, dmesg, xorg, mesa, vainfo What do you mean by xf86-video-intel? There is no such package. RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - fritsch - 2016-03-19 Same slow with Estuary? This one: xserver-xorg-video-intel Edit: Btw. disabling vsync is not a solution obviously :-) RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - megema - 2016-03-19 With Kodi 16 + Xperience1080 the slowest, ugliest part is scrolling in movie library with Info list view. I think Estuary was the same. I can't try Estuary now because of Kodi 16. Is it safe to upgrade to 17 and then downgrade to 16? Am I the only one with this issue? RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - fritsch - 2016-03-19 This thread is about kodi v17 not about v16 as per topic. Please open your own thread. Also Ubuntu 14.04 has no support as the howto was provided as is. RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - artur9 - 2016-03-19 I noticed this crashlog this morning: http://sprunge.us/RDAV From today's startup: 13:23:19 T:140621670520896 NOTICE: Running on OpenELEC (community) - Version: devel-20160315091733-r22305-g6be9ebe 7.0, kernel: Linux x86 64-bit version 4.4.5 RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - sw4y - 2016-03-19 (2016-03-19, 13:56)fritsch Wrote: So - can you try it? dvbviewer working again! Thank you fritsch! RE: New Era: VAAPI with EGL interoperation - pdid - 2016-03-19 Not sure if this is an issue with your build or a generic OpenElec issue but the next button on my PS3 BD remote no longer skips music tracks on my Chromebox running the latest build.
