Thanks AJ, but that defeats the point coz I play xbmc using VPN on my PC and I want view what's playing on xbmc (pc) on my XBMC ApplTV, which to my knowledge, does not support vpn

Don't know if it is possible but in your situation but, using yatse remote (unlocked) you can send a video to an xbmc instance to another using upnp.

Yes 13.1 as included in Openelec 4.0.2

I used v 13 R2(yes it's a released version not a beta) or better my distro used it as a release
As you see it's the latest official release https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/releases
It was working with v 13

For me not working too. I have tried latest version of xbmc (Windows 7 x86 and x64, version 13.0 and 13.1) and nothing worked. Even "PlayIt service started" didn't display. And in Chrome, frame view didn't work.

I have removed message "PlayIt service started" on user's request.
I did testing on several computers and it seems to be working fine on RC release of 13.1. Please share the logs in debug mode from the point xvmc launched till the video request submitted.

The Request from the chrome browser extension does not reach xbmc hence you might not see any trace of it in the logs. I have verified that the IP address and port number is correct.
I have tried to send a youtube link using the android app. The "Processing received request" popup appears on screen but video does not play. Please see related error on line 880.
Please let me know if you need any further information.

It's same here as @mujunk on both my PCs. +Frame View in chrome is not working.

If you do fresh install of XBMC 13.1, you will loose its common add ons such as script.module.urlresolver, which is important part of this add-on. That could be one reason why it is not working. Can you install super repo and install playit add-on again.
