Version 1.1.6 has been released with this change log:
- Support for latest Frodo builds. Warning: this update breaks compatibility with XBMC Frodo v12 prior 6 August.
- added "View Details" for Music Albums (long press item action)
- added "View Details" for Music Artists (long press item action)

Really great app. 2 quick questions:

1) is there a way to choose the default view that comes up for Music, instead of the 'Album' view? Having the 'Artist' view as default seems to make much more sense to me. I did a search and found a couple posts asking the same thing, but never saw an answer.

2) is there any way to have the Artist Genre use the Genre from the ID3 tags instead of the Genre from The Artist Info? All my music is tagged with correct Genres, but the Genres fro Artist Info that are pulled by the Scraper are all messed up.

Thanks...

thank you!

1) No, but it's in my TODO list
2) This seems hard to accomplish because what the app displays is what that XBMC sends, that is the scraped genre.

@Danielowenuk, That's a big issue!
If you want, you can PM your device UDID and an email address where send a debug version to try to discover the issue.

RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Danielowenuk - 2012-09-06

I have dropped you some detail, does the same thing on my iPhone 4s and others on the Rasbmc forums have identified similar issues.

RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - joethefox - 2012-09-06

so let's start debug! I'm preparing a debug build to send to you.
Two question:
1. did you have the issue only on TV shows section or also in other sections (music and movies basically) you have issue?
2. can you provide me exactly the link of the xbmc build you have downloaded and installed?

RE: [released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS - Danielowenuk - 2012-09-06

1. Currently don't have any music showing (it's a space issue with my Samba server) will be resolved this weekend, however, I do have plenty of movies, that all show and behave perfectly.

2. Technically the build was part of Raspbmc RC4, iirc it states in xbmc 12.0 prealpha

Is there a place where I could find the exact version of xbmc?

I have received the debug build and will give that a try tonight (at work at minute).

I have also moved my database library to a SQL server (although same problem was being exhibited before I moved it and library works fine on TV).

Awesome app and it's free. One issue I have. I have a bunch of mkv movies in separate folders. If I use my apple remote and click play while cursor is on folder, the movie will start to play. But when I try the same with the app, it does not work. I have to go into the folder and then click on the actual mkv file to make it play.

Any suggestions ?

Installed 1.1.7 and it's different (shows number of episodes), but still no individual episodes.

What else do you need?

Hum... I'm preparing another build with some onscreen debug info. Please wait a couple of minutes and I will send it to your email

Thank you. If I understand well, with the remote app you reach the folder with the remote control view. While the cursor is on folder, if you bring up the context menu you should have the option to start the playback without going into the folder. Let me know.

*Error: DSJSONRPC Error: Internal error. (Code -32603) - Data (null)

Seems like the main issue.

Yes. Could you please provide also the xbmc debug log? ( http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW-TO:Submit_a_proper_bug_report ) we need to see what is going on XBMC side.
