1) When, Automatic Full Screen Music Playback is on, Trivia= black screen then music visualization... When I press esc, the slides show up.

2) When, Automatic Full Screen Music Playback is off, Trivia = black screen then slides... 0.0.30 was skipping the Trivia so 0.0.32 fixed that part of it

Thanks for the info! This will be fixed in the next update by temporarily disabling visualization and then setting it back after trivia.

I don't think there are different revisions. But I don't know for sure.

Thanks for testing that, extremely helpful. We think we have a fix for this. It'll be in the next version. We'll need your help to test it!

This would help a lot to create slides and translate them

We have all of the data in databases that we can export and give to you to translate, if you're interested. There's no way that will cleanly overlay the text dynamically, although that is something we toyed with. Even if we could overlay the text on a background, in order to get all of the effects (text and otherwise) on the slides, we have to run them through a program like Photoshop and then edit the results. We would have no way to make the content look professional.

Ok thinks are getting weird. I cannot re-create the black screen after been able to easily re-create it before finding a solution. I can see mediacodec failing on the dummy_next.mp4 file but it now recovers using libstagefright. I can only think that turning mediacodec hardware acceleration off and on has done something. Can Dark dude try the following to confirm ?

1 turn on debug
2 Get it to fail ....(i thinks he is already there from his comments )
3. turn off mediacodec hardware acceleration and repeat testing.
4.turn on mediacodec hardware acceleration and repeat testing.
5. post debug logs using pastebin

Tested on a fresh installation of 0.0.33 with default sequence.
Black screen is gone. Everything is working fine for me.
One question: Is it possible to launch different sequences for movies and TV shows?

RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - wpbpete - 2015-09-10

Scott,

0.0.33 works perfectly Smile Thanks

A couple of low priority things for you,

1) Skipping modules ie: Up/Down is not working for me, FF and RW are good.

2) That was my first debug log with CV running and damn it was long Tongue any plans to make logging a settings option?

RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - GoofyJeff - 2015-09-10

The newest Beta, 0.0.33, is working wonderfully!

Thanks for the hard work and dedication in making this an add-on that I will use several times a week. Y'all rock!

RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Eisi2005 - 2015-09-10

i have found an other bug. My standard resolution when kodi starts is 23,976 hz.

When i start cinemavision and the first trailer starts, cinemavision switch to 60 hz and then kodi recognize that the trailer have a frequence with 23,976 and switch back to 23,976.

First: Holy crap there was a lot going on last night!

(2015-09-10, 04:05)popcorn903 Wrote: Hello everyone,
I'm a big fan of the new add-on and can't wait until it's finished Smile
I have come across something in the sequence editor that could be an issue or just me having done something wrong.

Upon launching the sequence editor keyboard movement kind of locks and I can only move left and right not up or down in each module.

If I press enter in between two modules it opens the settings for the module to the left.
However if I press enter on one of the modules it adds a new module instead to its left.
^^^Doing this seems to reset the buttons to their correct functioning but it must be done every time I open it and then I have to remove the newly created module.
It seems as though the button functions are kind of reversed initially?

It gives this error in the log file every time I select the gap in between two modules.
Running Windows 7 32bit - Kodi 14.2 - CV Beta 0.32

Code:
09:29:11 T:5604   ERROR: Control 300 in window 13001 has been asked to focus, but it can't

This has happened since first beta for me, however strangely it didn't on the original GitHub version.

I haven't read of of anyone else experiencing anything similar so I thought it might be worth posting.
If you want I can upload a full log or create a short video to demonstrate as it's a bit hard to describe properly.

As far as playing sequences goes the add-on is working great most of the time - I suspect the sequence editor problem is linked to some other random anomalies.
Lastly I can't seem to get the countdown video to play or the rating prior to the feature - Is there a setting I may have wrong?

Keep up the great work Big Grin

P.S Just tried v0.33 and same result

Popcorn903

Hey! A full log would be very helpful. We saw a bug like this early on, but haven't had reports of it since we fixed it in version 0.0.18. Just in case it's a weird setting carried over from a previous version, you might want to close Kodi and delete the script.cinemavision directory from your userdata\addon_data directory. Give it a shot after that, and then send us your logs.

(2015-09-10, 05:35)leejk Wrote: Hello,

Great work on this so far. I just started testing this today. I have no music files to play during trivia... where is a good source for these?

Also, I currently use the phillips hue addon to control my lights, which seems to work ok currently. I know I've read that this type of integration would be a future item, but I am wondering if some more advanced control could be added, like not turning on the lights if it is not dark? That would be a major improvement over the current phillips hue add-on.

thx

Thanks for the kind words! As for music files, I can't tell you where to get them. You're welcome to use any PLS files or audio files that are playable by kodi
(2015-09-10, 06:31)dexdeadly Wrote: Hello, this looks like a very great plugin. Currently setting up and downloading files now! I would love to help with testing of the Home Automation if you would like. I am running OpenHAB and it has a REST API and also can send HTTP GET commands really simple to do different things. I'd like to see if within the Home Automation I could have different GET commands for when the Trivia ist arting than lower when the trailers are on and then off when the movie starts. Things like that.
(2015-09-10, 08:05)dexdeadly Wrote: After a little bit of toying around I have found that to work this with OpenHAB was extremely easy. All that was needed was a simple text file to send a CMD. Here is an examples of what I did, I created a simple text file and called in livingroom_lights_75 and placed just this line in it

http://10.1.1.166:8080/CMD?Light_LivRoom_AllLights_Dim=75.

I then saved this file into the Actions folder. The next step was to create the action within the sequence using the setup and it worked perfectly. No extra setup needed at all. In hindsight I may changed the file names to before trailer, after trailer, before movie so this way it makes more sense and i can edit those files at will to my liking, just thought I'd toss out there though that is looking to use OpenHAB.

The only issue I seem to have now is that when it gets done playing the trailer, which keeps playing in spanish and not english....anyway the movie doesn't play. I get audio and no video. I've tried 3 movies and when I play without CinemaVision the video plays fine. Any reason for this or something I can check? Thanks in Advancned. I love how well this works and its easy configuration.

Good to hear Home Automation is working for you! Are you streaming trailers from iTunes, or using some locally? Do me a favor and upload a log for us to review. Scroll down to the Reporting Issues, Errors and Bugs section for instructions.

(2015-09-10, 10:44)Eisi2005 Wrote: Hi,

try to use your nice addon. I only have 3 sequences. Trailer, audiobumper and ratingbumper. Trailer and Audio works perfect, but rating could not be detect. In the log stands "unknown" in my database is a "16" for rating. I use German FSK Rating.

Here is the logfile.

So we did some digging, and we need some info. We noticed you were using script.ratingupdate in your setup. It's likely that it broke because what we have set in CinemaVision doesn't match what's in your database. Not sure if it's being changed, or what, but we'll add some logging in the next version to test that and help us find a solution.

Excellent! It's not (yet) possible. We're fleshing out how we think we want the TV integration to work right now. We don't want to put in a half-baked feature that will likely change, so we need to have a roadmap for the functionality first.

Hey Pete! Are you using a remote with Skip Forward/Back buttons? That would be what the Page Up and Page Down key are bound to. Some remotes don't have those buttons, like on a FireTV. In cases like that, you could modify the keymap for Kodi, but that would change the bind universally, and not just affect CinemaVision. As for the logs, we actually talked about that yesterday. We're not sure where it's going just yet, but it has been discussed!

This is actually a function of Kodi. All we're really doing is queuing up videos and giving you a nifty interface to organize how you want them played. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do to fix the refresh rates.

I'm using a standard remote, the keyboard doesn't work either. I may be misunderstanding the function, Up/Down jumps to the next module right?

Oh, and the visualization issue came back, maybe Artist Slideshow has something to do with it.

one more low priority,
The bottom of the screens shows the url/source, is there a way to hide that?

If you're talking about the Up Arrow and Down Arrow keys, the answer is no. Big Grin Page Up and Page Down jump from module to module. Not sure about the visualization bit... thought we'd fixed that. I'm also not sure what's up with that url/source bit. Can you take a video or screenshot of what you're seeing and shoot it to us with a log?

I did that before, and now I did it again.

I am getting an error.
When I opened CV from context menu and clicked play, I got the error.
I also got it from playing sequence directly from the add-on.

I had no problem playing sequences before the recent update. I only had problem with the rating video bumper not playing.

Here's my full log for v0.0.34.
I tried removing the add-on data again but the sequence editor still acts the same.
I couldn't get any sequences to play with this new version
Hopefully the log will help.
