RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - DanCooper - 2013-04-17 Damn, a stupid bug I've found: If in the YAMJ module the option "Compatible VIDEO_TS file ..." is enabled, the fanart is also stored as a backdrop in Ember directory on each BDMV movie For those who have already installed the version 1.3.0.11 here is the corrected file (overwrite the existing EmberAPI.dll). I have the fix already integrated into version 1.3.0.11 on all FTP's (04.17.2013 22:55 UTC+1). I'm so happy that there is a dedicated team on EMM again! I've been testing the latest version and here's the good news: The fixes from Cocotus on mediainfo and codecs is working well. Here's the bad news: Image handling seems to have been broken in this update. Here are some the issues I'm seeing (with multiple movies, not just one): I can no longer view image previews in the Movies section. Double clicking on an image or clicking on the preview button does nothing. Image size selection seems to be broken. No image allows you to select 'original'. It would be nice to see the actual resolution (1000x1500, 1920x1080) of the images again, the way it was in v10. I cannot change the images once they are saved. Batch scraping works fine and saves images, but if you try to update the images for a single movie, or do a single movie rescrape, EMM throws exceptions and does not save the image. Image previews also seems to be broken in TV as well. The difference is you do get an exception and the image previewer tries to come up but is blank. Doing this in Movies gets you nothing at all. I'm happy to help with testing, as needed. I think it should be <tvshow>.nfo see here: http://code.google.com/p/moviejukebox/wiki/TVSeriesNaming Can this be fixed? (2013-04-17, 21:27)DanCooper Wrote: For tv shows you need only activate the boxes in the YAMJ module. Disable all boxes in normal tv show file naming.OK I did this and tested - seems to be OK even without folder for each season except for the tvshow.nfo which doesn't belong to anything. Can you change "Set_<tvshow>_1.banner.jpg" to "Set_<tvshow>_1.jpg" because it is poster and not banner. Big Question: Why do we need a special module for YAMJ? Why not use the regular TV show files and location page and add the options there? Most of them are already there anyways. RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Biggrich76 - 2013-04-18 Hi Dan, Thank you for the YAMJ fixes, most of them are working properly. Sorry we couldn't connect via PM for testing more thoroughly. Anyway, I did come across a couple small items; 1. The nfo issue as described above 2. The Show banners are not saving with the correct naming. Currently, YAMJ Module saves the Show banner as such: Code: Season 1.banner.jpg The correct naming for Show banners is as follows: Code: Set_<Show>_1.banner.jpg I also wanted to mention that the YAMJ program itself does a nice job creating nfo files (at least for my personal usage). Is it possible to turn off the nfo creation for TV Shows? Thanks again. Donation coming your way, enjoy a beer on me! Its been one of those things, when you think your life is back on track you get derailed . Lets just say I've gone through a lot and hopefully for now at least I can get back to working on Ember 2.0 and get something out there for the community to play with. Thanks for Dan and company for keeping Ember going, their work is much appreciated by myself and the community Oh and I also updated the links on the front page to the most recent versions RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - blackcows - 2013-04-18 (2013-04-17, 21:27)DanCooper Wrote: Is "Set_<tvshow>_1.banner.jpg" is only for banner size and "Set_<tvshow>_1.jpg" only for poster size? Do you think this is a feature that will be added in the future? My experience with EMM and YAMJ for the Popcorn Hour is that it works excellent with movies and does very well with TV but requires some manual cut and paste to get it correct. The problem is the one that you reference, YAMJ uses both posters and banners for display on the device and you currently can't download both with EMM so you must manually add one. Not sure if this makes sense but this is what I see... EMM is generating a Set_<Series Name>_1.fanart.jpg and a Set_<Series Name>_1.jpg, these are the images that I select as Season Poster and Season Fanart from within EMM. The poster and fanart is saved with the Series folder as <Series Name>.jpg and <Series Name>.fanart.jpg but also in the folder for the first season of the series as Set_<Series Name>_1.fanart.jpg and a Set_<Series Name>_1.jpg. When either the poster or fanart are changed within EMM the set image withing the first season folder also changes. Not sure if this is something that EMM is doing as is or if it is doing this because I have the YAMJ modules installed. In any case it's very close to working as it should for YAMJ. Two changes I see that are need to make it fully compatable are as follows. 1. The all-seasons.jpg is the image that YAMJ needs to see as Set_<Series Name>_1 so if this was converted as the poster and fanart are (to set images in the first series folder) it would solve the issue. 2. Have the ability to save a season.jpg and season.banner.jpg, YAMJ uses both but EMM forces you to choose one or the other. The ability to choose a poster and banner for each season would solve this issue. RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Shemhazai - 2013-04-18 (2013-04-17, 21:27)DanCooper Wrote: My questions are: 1/ YAMJ Specials should be "Season 0"-episodes, not 'Special Season'-episodes. So Special episode 3 of some show could be named S00E03.avi, and could be in a subfolder <Season 0> of folder <tvshow>. 2/ As for the question of the location of tvshow artwork and nfo prefer placing it in the <tvshow> folder. Working with latest version of YAMJ I name it \<TVSHOW>\ (tvshow-folder) ----<tvshow>.nfo ----Set_<tvshow>_1.jpg ----Set_<tvshow>_1.fanart.jpg ----Set_<tvshow>_1.banner.jpg ----\Season 0\ (Season folder) --------Season 0.jpg --------Season 0.fanart.jpg --------Season 0.banner.jpg --------<tvshow>.S00E01.avi --------<tvshow>.S00E01.nfo ----\Season 1\ (Season folder) ------- ...repeat structure.... As of a couple of years ago you can place the Set_* images anywhere in the <tvshow> folder or <Season X> folders. If you have <Set_>*-images YAMJ picks them up. If you don't have specific <Set_>* images, YAMJ uses the poster of the lowest episode in the lowest season. Advantage of my structure, as I see it, is that when you download previous episodes your fanart stays intact (it's in the <tvshow>-folder). Furthermore if you delete (e.g. backup or not enough empty hard disk space) some (first) season, you delete the fanart too. RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Suprnaut - 2013-04-18 Cocotus, The sorting on the new html movie export seems to be working now. The problem I have now is that I can not load the generated html fully. When I load it locally from Windows it loads partially and then stops before loading the thumbnails. If I load it from an Apache webserver running on linux the same thing happens, but even less loads, the navigation on the left and right frames never load. I have tried IE, Firefox, and Chrome. I realize I have a huge collection (over 1200 movies) but everything seemed to work fine before (other than the sorting). My index.htm file is almost 5MB. I assume the issue is a javascript memory issue. Maybe there is a memory leak somewhere? Any ideas? RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - hatbrox - 2013-04-18 I have a feature request! I'm currently struggling to get my genres right. a year ago we have decided to mostly use the genre to browse the movie collection in XBMC, but it's really messy. Too many genres that are similar or identical but in different languages. I'm currently going through each movie, one by one to edit the genre but it's tedious the collection is quite big. I would to be able to search the EMM movie library for a specific genre So I can remove it or replace it with another genre. example: I have many movies with genre: sci-fi and many with genre: Science Fiction (this is due to using different scrappers for different languages) So if I can search for all movies with genre Science Fiction, I could then easily replace it with sci-fi RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - DanCooper - 2013-04-18 (2013-04-18, 16:49)hatbrox Wrote: I have a feature request! RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - m.savazzi - 2013-04-18 Team, I've started the work to separate the Scrapers in the correct groups-types. We will have these scrapers:
The impact is VERY wide so I will not push the changed to Dan till is working. If you want to see how it is advancing and what I'm doing you can see my repro. Please note that this is MANDATORY to clean up the code, allow to add more image types and solve several issues in the scraping process as well as to have a better codebase to maintain Hoping this helps RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Cocotus - 2013-04-18 @ CaptainKen, suprnaut (2013-04-18, 16:07)Suprnaut Wrote: Cocotus,I tpoo have massive problems like CaptainKen- Yesterday I tried to build the export template and I couldn't get it working - I ran into Out Of memory exception while saving the preview of my 600 movie collection - This has not happened in an older version pre 11 and I have to investigate whats the cause - I might even disable all the preview cause the loading time really is wayyyyyyyy too long - will report any progress! |
