Hi, I successfully got everything working, but when I tune an HD channel, using XBMC as frontend, on the screen appears a message from my pay-tv provider, which says that I haven't an HD capable decoder.
Using VDR instead of tvheadend, the HD channels are available.

DAEMON_ARGS="-f -u hts -g video"
to
DAEMON_ARGS="-f -u xbmc -g video"
chmod 755 /etc/init.d/tvheadend
update-rc.d tvheadend enable

I tried to
sudo dpkg-reconfigure hts-tvheadend
but then again my user-id and password are wrong.

In "/home/hts/.hts/tvheadend" is a file called "superuser" which contains your user ID and password. You need to copy/move it to "/home/xbmc/.hts/tvheadend". That should allow you to access the web interface.

Is there anyway to increase the cache or similar for Tvheadend? I have stuttering on the HD channels and sometimes on the encryted channels when it is trying to get a key.
I'm hoping if it can be cached a bit it will help with the buffering i'm getting.

Anyone have a guide for setting up xmltv with tvheadend?
I have xbmc installed like in a lot of the examples where you have a user called xbmc. Tvheadend is installed under the user hts.
I set up xmltv and had this as the cache location:
/home/hts/.xmltv/cache/
When xmltv downloaded the grabber the first time I was able to view a week or so of epg for each channel. However when I restarted the pc, all i could see was now and next. When i click on xmltv source in the channels section of tvheadend i can select the channels i picked when setting up xmltv. But they still only show now and next. The cache folder isnt empty either.
So if anyone has a guide on how to setup xmltv with tvheadend it would be appreciated.
.xmltv was installed under /home/xbmc/
tvheadend is in /home/hts/

Tvheadend 2.7 is supposed to have DVB subtitles support, but do I need to enable that somewhere?
I have XBMC 9.11 installed but I get no subtiltes from Tvheadend channels. I have no problems displaying subtiles in XBMC from .ts files.

Too bad i switched my server from Ubuntu to SnowLeopard , otherwise i'd use TvHeadend with iPhone app all the time.

Hey guys, i´m new here and and a noob with linux :-).
I´m using Ubuntu 9.10 with xbmc and i have installed the tvheadend. It worked but but i had a problem with the tv because the picture stucked for a mil sec. So i tryed to update the driver for my Skystar 2. Doesnt work. I uninstalled it again. Then i connected with the tvheadend webinterface and now i am missing the satconfig tab in the configuration section. Any body knows how to fix that problem?
