Amber has been working perfectly on Helix for some time now.
Pecinko, will you be uploading it in the kodi repository soon? It would really help with making the experience of using Amber on SPMC much better than it currently is.

Installing from a zip file causes the OSD to hang the video for almost 2 seconds everytime it is activated. This issue wouldn't be there if Amber was available in the repository.

First of all, thanks for this Skin on Helix. It really allows me to work with my Plex Server via the Amazon Fire TV as I want.

But there is one strange thing:
I don't see the normal Helix Settings anymore! They were shown once directly after the activation of Amber, but the main menu does not show them anymore.
In "Einstellungen" (I guess it's "Options" or "Settings" in English - my system is set to German language) I only see the entries "Skin Akualisieren", "PlexBMC Settings", "Kodi", and "Aktualisieren".
So I can toggle between Kodi & Plex, and change the settings for PlexBMC. But I don't find the normal settings for Kodi.

Where are they?

EDIT: forget it. I was too dumb to realize that they are available by pressing directly at the "Einstellungen" text in main menu ;-)

Hi guys

I have downloaded the amber zip file from the first page of the thread.

I am able to install amber skin on windows laptops running kodi 14.0

i am not able to install it in Rasbmc OS on Raspberry pi

I also tried to change the folder name to version, installed the dependencies, tired manually too by putting the folder in addon folder, also by zip file, also tried to restore the backup from my laptop to pi

no success

pls help

Hi, Is there anyway you could point me in the right direction to make the movies "Info" panel transparent? I use the files view instead of the library, set to fanart with info on.. but the info panel needs some transparency imo...

I've spotted an unfinished screen (or at least that's how it appears to me) when recording using PVR. When you select a program from the guide, you then get a dialog asking to confirm the recording. Click OK, then you get (in theory) a dialog asking if you want to record just this episode or the series. In Amber, that final dialog is missing all the text.

Otherwise Amber works pretty much perfectly for me on Kodi!

whilst hunting for the reason the small weather info was only displaying on the weather page i think i have got a grip on the problem. there seems to be a problem with the latest home.xml, I have sat and checked every line ( yup SADDO,) only finding a couple errant empty lines and a couple of old colour references they were perfect, the only thing i found was checking the tabs to each line, i backspaced from the start of <control to the start of the line and in the old home.xml i hit the button 4 times.. checked the same line and start in the latest home.xml and i got 8 clicks so the tab must have been different between one version and the next. please feel free to check but the old version with the orange changed to Highlight works for having the weather on all pages where it was.

I have tried the edited old home.xml on 3 different machines, Rasp pi 2 Kodi, 64bit Laptop and 32bit windows 10 tablet and all 3 work the same, latest home.xml is only on the weather page but the updated old home.xml displays the weather on all main pages

Please feel free to check for yourself.

Another screen that is layer out incorrectly - the EPG channel-specific view. Can be accessed by choosing on-screen EPG icon - after pressing "menu" while watching TV channel.
Program start times are overlapping the program names. They are supposed to be left-alligned I believe

Maybe, maybe not. You could always give the Amber "Origin" skin Black Glass Nova a try as it is a fully supported at this time.

Can anyone please tell me how to get this to install? I keep getting dependencies not met error. I tried both 14.0 and 14.2. My file is properly named skin.amber-2.0.12.zip

edit: nevermind. It works now. I didn't change anything.. Just kept trying to install from zip and eventually all dependencies were redownloaded..
