I won't touch the look and feel of the widgets anymore. They are exactly how I want them and I tried landscape in the past and didn't like it.
And I still don't get what you mean with overlay and with which behaviour

Look at the bg_vignette.png at your media-folder in your texture.xbt. its a transparent overlay above the fanarts (to darken the edges of the screen in case of th bg_vignette.)
i need exactly the same implementation, but only customizable for each menu-item.

Feel free to post screens. I will take a look at them.
Adding a custom user set overlay isn't possible, because I only can set thumbs and backgrounds with the menu script

If somebody has any LiveTV part requests, please post it now. Our new flat only has only DVB-C and I cannot use my good old Digital Devices CineS2 DVB-S tuner card anymore. Since we have other costs, I won't purchase a DVB-C tuner. My girl would kill me if I'll spend money for this instead for other more importent things

Already there. The field with "Genre: Series" is a fade label and will fade to the this after a while (if the EPG contains that information)

I'm using PVR IPTV Simple client, maybe it has something to do with that...because I don't get "Channel group" and I don't get "Next". It just stays on "Genre". I don't even know which .xml I should look at and maybe add your code to it...

OK, I installed the last version from the GitHub and now it's ok
Before that I tried to check for updates from the repo but I didn't get any so I thought there were none.

That fadelabel is untouched since weeks
So I guess it was just a temporary local problem of your Kodi installation. Again: A skin isn't responsible for info labels, which are filled by Kodi. It's just a GUI.

You mean on the OSD panel in the fullscreen video? Aye! That's missing. Will be added in the same way the plot is shown for movies/videos etc.
