Only TV Shows and trailer will play. Looks like a Kodi bug where ListItem.FileNameAndPath is being cleared for plugin items in the info dialog. Not much I can do about it from the skin side of things. EDIT: Okay I've pushed a workaround, but really this issue needs to be fixed in Kodi core. Additional Widgets>Skin Helper Service Widget>Mixed Media>In-Progress TV Shows and Movies It works now. Thanks for the fix RE: Arctic Horizon - jonaballen - 2020-03-22 Great start, I love the look and elegance. simplifying widgets and main navigation is cool. But talking about simplicity, I do have a large library and it kind of makes it hard to browse through the libraries in poster view only. Dont know about your plan for the skin and didnt read through the entire thread, but so far the absence of vertical list view stops me from switching over straight away. It would be great with a view like Media Info 2 and maybe some wall view as well for overview and speed I'll keep staying with Arctic Zephyr 2 for now Thanks a lot for all your work, big fan! RE: Arctic Horizon - Alwiin90 - 2020-03-22 I have set movies, tv-shows, and music menus to display a submenu hub. I have also picked custom submenu widgets. For movies I picked Unwatched, In Progress for TV shows, artists (album artists as set in Kodi) for music. For addons I kept the addon browser for easy updates/installations. I also added a Next Aired (Trakt) button with scrolling widget. My question is can I now or in the future possibly set the submenu widgets such as Unwatched films and artists to be sorted by year or alphabetically? Bug: I can't go far right into the submenu hub horizontal menu that lists director, year etc. RE: Arctic Horizon - jurialmunkey - 2020-03-22 (2020-03-22, 13:34)jonaballen Wrote: Great start, I love the look and elegance. simplifying widgets and main navigation is cool. There won't be any other viewtypes. That's something very specific that I've done with this skin. The views that you mentioned don't really help you navigate a large library any quicker or more efficiently than the current view - it's just that you're used to navigating in a certain way, so the new way feels unfamiliar to you. Anyway, each to their own! AZ2 still works perfectly well. Ah yeah I forgot about sort methods there. Added to my todo list: https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arctic.horizon/issues/46 What do you mean by you can't go far right? Do you mean you have more items than fit on screen and it doesn't scroll when focusing them? RE: Arctic Horizon - sabre6 - 2020-03-22 I am all good with the one viewtype - actually makes it easier. Wondering what you think - what about centering the focus of the horizontal view (so the poster in the middle), rather than having it at the left? I often go left and right when looking through the shows, and would be great to just look left rather than clicking left to see what is there. And my kids are wondering if text could be used for the vertical home menu? Thank you! RE: Arctic Horizon - jimmisavage - 2020-03-22 Thanks for the great skin - just switched over from AZ2 I have a few questions:
Thanks Jimmi Arctic Horizon - GuiZ - 2020-03-22 Hey awesome skin as usual with your creation. I stock long time with Kodi 17 and AZ1. Now using AZ2 and AH. In both skin on movie info screen, I ve an error when the skin load data with themoviedb helper and nothing appears (similar, genre ....) I put an OMDB API key (free) in themoviedb helper setting. The key work well for rating with script.module.metadatautils. An idea? RE: Arctic Horizon - drinfernoo - 2020-03-23 (2020-03-22, 23:52)GuiZ Wrote: Hey awesome skin as usual with your creation. Just see a notification themoviedb helper error appears. The row item for similar, genre, recommended, appears and load but after a few seconds it disappears. Maybe a debug could help. I will post it tomorrow. RE: Arctic Horizon - jurialmunkey - 2020-03-23 (2020-03-22, 18:40)sabre6 Wrote: I am all good with the one viewtype - actually makes it easier. I often go left and right when looking through the shows, and would be great to just look left rather than clicking left to see what is there. The viewtypes are left aligned because everything else is (e.g. info, buttons etc.). I do actually prefer centered alignment position for scrolling due to the points that you mention, but it just makes more sense to have left alignment for the purposes of navigation - e.g. I think it feels more natural to have an up press go directly up to the buttons rather than up and to the left. Everything would have to be center aligned for center aligned lists to work, which would fundamentally change the design of the skin. In terms of main menu, I can see the advantage to text. My main setup is fairly simple for menu - I use broad categories (movies, tvshows, music, addons, settings) and then rely on widgets and submenus for finer navigation -- but I can see the value if you have a more complex series of categories, so I've added it to my todo list: https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arctic.horizon/issues/49 RE: Arctic Horizon - jurialmunkey - 2020-03-23 (2020-03-22, 20:52)jimmisavage Wrote: Thanks for the great skin - just switched over from AZ2 For (1) you just need to set a different widget in the home customisation dialog. Note that in Default Widgets there is a distinction between "Tv Show" and "Episode" widgets - you want a widget from the Episodes section. For (2) it's on my todo list: https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arctic.horizon/issues/49 For (3) you want to setup library nodes with specific rules that exclude the horror genre https://kodi.wiki/view/Video_nodes The library node editor is a really easy way to edit available nodes https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Library_Node_Editor RE: Arctic Horizon - jurialmunkey - 2020-03-23 (2020-03-23, 00:57)GuiZ Wrote:(2020-03-23, 00:29)drinfernoo Wrote:(2020-03-22, 23:52)GuiZ Wrote: Hey awesome skin as usual with your creation.
