What is the best guide that deals with the program images correctly? I'll see if I can "borrow" their code. RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - cwh060 - 2016-10-25 I've not seen one yet that integrates into SD and pulls content thumbs. Only the XMLTV sources seem to have this ability. bluezed's guide, does not appear to use them, his channel logo's source seems a bit different http://screencast.com/t/0ETA5qAiot. NextPVR does not use them either. cwh RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - primaeval - 2016-10-25 (2016-10-25, 17:06)cwh060 Wrote: I've not seen one yet that integrates into SD and pulls content thumbs. I've got a branch of my "Schedules Direct to xmltv" addon with logos but it is not working right now due to so many images not being available. When I get a good answer on their forum or a good example to follow I can continue with it. Testing the availablility of 1000s of images is too painful and should be unnecessary. I don't know if I've missed something or something is wrong with their json data. RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - cwh060 - 2016-10-25 Well, I'm back to the 'oops, sorry about that! not possible to load program data" I've got something configured wrong somewhere, as the bluezed guide is working. I know its not the "refresh on start" this time! Works with XML. I know the logo combination sometimes throws it off. I'll have to play with it later. cwh RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - primaeval - 2016-10-25 (2016-10-25, 20:13)cwh060 Wrote: Well, I'm back to the 'oops, sorry about that! not possible to load program data" When you change source you have to OK the Settings, then press Edit Channels and Save again for SD. The same goes for the Settings for yo.tv and tvguide.co.uk. RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - cwh060 - 2016-10-25 I did the source setting changes and pressed ok. Didn't know about the Edit Channels one also, went into Edit Channels and all my previous channels are all gone. Somewhere along the line, I must have wiped them out. Oh well, only 25 or so, easy enough to reconfigure. I added back 5 and the guide populated again. I seem to have to get the right combination of logos on/off in order for the guide to load properly. If I set the Logos to dis-abled/off the guide will not load. If I set the logo on, the guide loads but what setting should I use to get the SD logos? Is their a URL for SD? I can use an external folder and then match everything, but this is tedious. http://screencast.com/t/m2vpqtbR9 Logo Settings http://screencast.com/t/u80G1EabSsT9 cwh RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - primaeval - 2016-10-25 (2016-10-25, 21:06)cwh060 Wrote: I did the source setting changes and pressed ok. You'll have to select SD again and maybe some other settings. I would recommend creating a user Profile in Kodi to do experiments with if you have a lot of settings you don't want to lose. RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - primaeval - 2016-10-26 0.0.167 - IMDB / TVDB program image search in Settings \ Lab1 Seriously powerful search for missing program images in the main epg. It bypasses the apis and works pretty well with non-English languages. There is not much filtering on it so far so it can find a few amusing results. It runs in a background thread so expect some delay before you see an image. The image urls are cached so it will be fast second time around. RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - Jeffers24 - 2016-10-28 Version 0.0.169 changed my background image from my choice to your high level view of the earth/clouds. Is this going to happen on every update? Just change Settings \ Background \ Background Image Source to File and your image should still be there. (There is a warning in the changelog.) I thought I would show off the new background feature so everyone knows what is possible. This is still very experimental Beta software and I might need to do some major changes in the future. I am always on the lookout for new sources of program data, images and streams. If you want to follow this experiment into the unknown I am very happy to have you aboard, but please don't expect it to be set in stone any time soon. This script works well for image search programs in PVR Iptv Simple. http://addons.kodi.tv/show/script.skin.helper.service/ You could try to use it? Sorry for bad English. Thanks for the info. I got it working with the Titan skin in PVR Iptv Simple Client. It is using the omdb api internally. I think my image search finds a few more images but there are a lot of good ideas in the code. Is there anything from that addon that you think would be good to add to TV Guide Fullscreen? RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - primaeval - 2016-10-29 0.0.171 - Extended Info (script.extendedinfo) integration (i, info) Extended Info gives you tons of info about the Movie or TV Show including cast, episodes, trailers etc. You need to install Extended Info Script from the main Kodi repo. Extended Info Support Forum http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=160558 There is a mod version around somewhere too, I have heard. |
