I use an iPad but don't really use Kodi on it, but I always felt the design of this skin would lend itself pretty well for touch usage. Not on the repo yet btw.

I have a Nvidia shield tablet, I'll be happy, to be a beta tester for touchscreen Smile

I know, the touch control support is very basic, unfinished, has conflicts and will have for a while. Improving touch support will be a post official release thing.

I should have mentioned this yesterday, but please no bug reports on touch navigation for now, as I am aware of it. The touch controls will not show when touch input is not enabled.

Small fyi a lot of touch issues/handling has only been fixed in v18 so you might hit some bugs with handling here and there. Still some stuff to improve still.

Also really needs certain skin Big Grin

I assume you're talking about the text and not the picture? Because nothing changed with the pictures here. At the moment the labels do not scroll, there will be a setting for this at a later stage.

Days of the week are missing from Met Office weather

@Jeroen
v1.1.7 : Line 126 in "~/.kodi/addons/skin.grid/xml/Includes_Window.xml" ends with a backtick (accent grave). I double checked it in the zip file. :
Code:
<texture colordiffuse="ff000000">colorize/white.png</texture>`

Ok, we were talking about the same thing Smile But as it wasn't working properly (while I thought it did) I thought you meant something else. And then when you said you wanted a screensaver, I thought you meant something else again.. Tongue Anyway, the artists slideshow should work again now.

Edit2: Nevermind, not fixed. I've tried disabling all animations in the skin, and still get the full device freezes between home and MyVideoNav. So the issue isn't the animations, but perhaps something heavy or different about how MyVideoNav loads? The views also don't matter for the freezing which happens ~1:2 times.
I can't think of anything which could have this impact on performance (at least as far as I know, having no experience with boxes like these makes it hard to evaluate and put things in perspective I guess).

I think the way I load up the view types is different than most/many other skins, but I can't really imagine these to have such a big impact on performance. In short, instead of having several separately built view types I have just 4 view types which I modify so to speak by using a combination of PARAM's and VAR's. For instance the Posters, Landscape, Thumbnails views are the same view (with there being multiple variations of the Thumbnails view as well) are the same view. Except when set to Posters the view type calls in the parameters needed to make it look like the way it does, and so does Landscape of course.

Cheers, fixed for next version

Quote:Would it be possible to add an option to change views for favourites
Kodi's Favourite's window is archaic and offer nothing more than one label and one thumb type, and this window doesn't recognise content types. This means the skin can't "see" whether an item is an album, movie, folder, file, etc. And because of that I can't make the viewtype adapt to what is being listed in this window. Which would make the view type not fit the content more often than it would and t would just look bad.
There's another possibility and that is to use skin helper's widget paths as a plugin path. But that comes with it's own set of issues to solve.

So in short Smile No, in the native favourites window this would need a lot of work with little to nothing to gain from it. By using an add-on it could, but as said I am focusing on the core skin at the moment.
