RE: Amber for Leia - bsoriano - 2019-05-23

As it's not (easily) possible to include those modifications in the shipped skin via the official repo, I made a PR for Matrix (and a backport PR to Leia) to modify and include the changes to the default keymaps instead.

Those PR's were merged into master this morning, so nightly Matrix builds from tonight will have them included, and any future Leia releases (18.3 quite possibly soon) will also come with them as standard. So the keymaps after that will be included and no longer required to be added from the user side.
Sweet! Thanks @DarrenHill ! Smile

Bart

I saw "Next Episode" added to TV show widget/shelf. It seems to show what's up soon, but unfortunately no dates. When I'm on the poster, it shows runtime above of the poster (45.00 = for 45 minutes). Would it be possible to somehow add release date to the widget, since I assume it knows it?
@User 352425 , please try Amber 3.1.19 (Git or Amber repo).  I added the release date to episodes in shelves (widgets).  Please let me know if you find any additional issue.  Thanks.

Bart

Positive and negative feedback.
Positive to you as it truly works with date now.

Negative to me, as I told you Next Episode instead of Next Airing Episode. Two questions.
1. Is the same doable for Next Airing Episode?
2. How far ahead does it look when showing Next Airing Episodes?

@User 352425 , the change was done for all Episode shelves, so it's already there for Next Airing Episodes.  The Next Airing Episodes are only the ones airing today.

Fantastic. Thanks!
Can I tinker myself in any setting to increase the amount of days it looks forward?

@User 352425 , sure, you can change the widget to look ahead 2 months or 4 months.  There are no other options, since those are the ones provided by the script used for the widgets.

If you want it to look ahead 60 days, you need to edit the file "Includes_Shelf_Contents.xml" in the skin's 1080i folder.  You need to change line 500 from:

xml:
<param name="listitemcontent6">plugin://script.skin.helper.widgets/?action=airingtoday&amp;mediatype=episodes&amp;reload=$INFO[Window(Home).Property(widgetreload-episodes)]</param>

to:

xml:
<param name="listitemcontent6">plugin://script.skin.helper.widgets/?action=nextaired&amp;mediatype=episodes&amp;reload=$INFO[Window(Home).Property(widgetreload2)]</param>

If you want it to look ahead 120 days, you need to change the same line to:

xml:
<param name="listitemcontent6">plugin://script.skin.helper.widgets/?action=unaired&amp;mediatype=episodes&amp;reload=$INFO[Window(Home).Property(widgetreload2)]</param>

Please note that those two options are somewhat slow (at least in my testing), so it might take a while for the widget to populate.

Please let me know if this is what you were looking for.  Thanks.

Regards,

Bart

Where's the option to edit this without changing xml? I feel like I've searched everywhere it in any menus.

@User 352425 , there is no option without changing the xml directly.  Perhaps I misunderstood your request.  My apologies for that.

That's perfectly fine. I'd be happy to edit the xml. Will I lose the edit on skin update?

Unfortunately, yes.  When I release the version with customizable widgets, then this will not be an issue.

Thanks for helping out and have a great weekend!

RE: Amber for Leia - User 352425 - 2019-05-26

Sorry to bug you again. Any chance to update the shelf for Next Episode faster? When I watch an episode, the episode takes 15 seconds to go away when fully watched and let the next episode show.

@User 352425, sorry, I don't have a lot of control over that from the skin. I have the reload set for the fastest that the script provides.

Regards,

Bart

Got it. Still love the skin though.
Any way I can donate a beer?
