RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - latts9923 - 2023-08-05 @Chalklands MQ 9 only offers horizontal menus. @MB1968 Yes sir...I'm using View 18 and the genre icons are displaying. EDIT: the movie genre icons are visible for the standard MQ9 views 1 and 2. In view 18, 21, 30 and 32 the movie genre icons are missing on my system. View 21 shows the video case on the location where the genre icon should be displayed. Any one else having this issue? Tested on a clean install. RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - latts9923 - 2023-08-05 @MB1968 Haha...didn't mean to hurt ya kid. I need to scrub the views and remove genres from some of them...starting with view 21. I'm right in the middle of uploading updates, so that will have to come with a future update. You are referring to "movie genre icons" as icons ?. All I see is a text, for example, "Genre:Science Fiction / Adventure / Action". Is this is what you are referring to?. Additions
Bug fixes
Maintenance
I renamed the update file in my repo to skin.aeonmq9-1.6.0.zip, so you can now install the Multi-Mod via Kodi. If you don't have my repo installed, the link is in the first post of this thread. *This update will require another skin reset for new settings to be forced to settings.xml. Sorry once again for the inconvenience. I've embedded two screenshots. View 1 shows the movie genre icons, view 18 does not on my Android TV Box. View 1 View 18 RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - MB1968 - 2023-08-06 @latts9923, thanks for the update! Nice. RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - andrzejls - 2023-08-06 @MB1968, @latts9923 OK, now I understand what you mean. Yes, I do get genre icons in 18 on Nvidia Shiels Pro 2019, but there is a bug, I thing. Selecting: "Action" --> "Action" and "Adventure" and "Animation" and "Sci Fi" get selected "Animation" --> OK "Adventure" --> OK "Animation" --> OK "Comedy" --> "Comedy" and "Sci-Fi" selected "Crime" --> OK "Documentary" --> OK "Drama" --> "Music" and "Romance" selected "Family" --> OK "Fantasy" --> "Fantasy" and "Horror" selected "History" --> OK "Horror" --> OK "Music" --> OK "Mystery" --> OK "Romance" --> OK "Sci-Fi" --> OK "Science Fiction" --> OK "Thriller" --> OK "War" --> OK I do not know if that is what supposed to be but that is what I am getting in view 01, 11, 18. All other views selection does not work at all. RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - andrzejls - 2023-08-06 @latts9923 Yet an another great update, thanks. Question: VIEW TYPE-35, the front frame does not extend to the right far enough to encompass graphics. Should it be like this? @latts9923 I just noticed that in Movies top menu under "ORGANIZE" --> "ALL VIDEOS" there is incorrect amount of all videos. TV SHOWS shows correct amount. RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - RonnieG3 - 2023-08-06 Hey buddy, Just a heads up - Future Font & candy cane fonts missing. EDIT: Also Star Wars option for Flags, Skin animations, and option Grab Fanart. That Seems like a lot - I'mmas reapply and reset again, but just in case - wanted to mention this EDIT: Yeah, so all that was my bad - I messed up the install b/c I'm an idiot. All Good. EXCEPT all my naming of the views disappeared. They're just numbered again. Once new skin update come up and we have to run ful reset I use this backup to restore ALL of my settings/customization's. Saves me a lot of time and aggravation. RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - Juan Mortyme - 2023-08-06 @andrzejls I don't use Skin Helper Service Skin Backup so I don't know it's exact behaviour. You should probably check to see how exactly Skin Helper Service Skin Backup works, if you haven't already? Obviously it copies the current settings.xml to a backup location. But, do you know for sure what the restore setting does? It could either 1) update the new settings.xml adding the contents of the backup or 2) simply overwrite the new settings.xml with the saved one. If it is the first method you're good to go. However if it is the second method then you accomplish nothing because any new setting will not have been added. Please, let us know what you discover? RE: Aeon MQ 9 Multi-Mod for Kodi 20 (Nexus) - andrzejls - 2023-08-06 (2023-08-06, 06:44)Juan Mortyme Wrote: @andrzejls"Skin Helper Service Skin Backup creates/saves "guisettings.txt" file (settings customized and default values ) not settings structure so it does NOT copy "settings.xml" file. When new version of skin is installed and I run "reset skin" (as per "latts9923 instructions) that is when ALL settings and default GUI settings are "reset" and saved in settings.xml. Then I checked that ALL new features and "bug fixes" are implemented as designed and reflected in the skin. Then I run "Skin Helper Service Skin Backup restore". All my skin customization settings from the previous skin version are restored. This does not affect new/additional settings of the skin. They are left as they were saved by running "skin reset". "Skin Helper Service Skin Backup" restore does not alter nor modify "settings.xml" file at all. "settings.xml" file is a file creating/setting skin "setting" structure and default setting values. "Skin Helper Service Skin Backup restore" restores only setting values that I modified from defaults and unchanged default values that were in previous skin version. I use this method for a while. Saves me a lot of time in configuring GUI on my 5 Kodi installs.
