Getting more and more obscure 12.4.0 stutters 12.3.3 is playing great on 720p, 1080i and 1080p. Found another winner!!! SPMC 12.3.3 plays fiels just as good as the Ouya version but Ouya still has DTS option for your home theater and the SPMC doesnt. RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - RGB_Gamer - 2014-04-05 This thread is rapidly expanding faster than I can keep up with. Are there any plans on making a separate Fire TV section in the OS forums? Edit: Looks like someone already got to it. In the meantime, is it possible to change the library version numbers, via a settings file, so I can tie XBMC for OUYA into my existing shared Gotham library? (I'm assuming Gotham didn't drop any tables/columns used in Frodo, but just added more, which might just be ignored by Frodo). Getting more and more obscure I am seeing the same, here is what I noticed: Testing with 720p DTS MKV File -SPMC 12.3.3 - Running Great! -SPMC 12.4.0 - Very Choppy (More so than current Gotham build) After installing 12.4.1 I even reinstalled to try this again, but 12.4.0 is still problematic for me. -SPMC 12.4.1 - Choppy but an improvement from 12.4.0. Not nearly as smooth as 12.3.3 though. I am also seeing artifacts during playback which didnt happen in 12.3.3 Are there any other versions in between 12.3.3 and 12.4.0? It seems like something definitely changes between these. Hopefully this is helpful. If you need specific logging information or anything like that let me know, Thanks again! RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - eracknaphobia - 2014-04-05 (2014-04-05, 20:18)joeyf Wrote: Perhaps not very helpful...I'm really interested in getting MLB.tv going on this box in advance of the formal release that is supposedly coming soon for FTV (according to MLB.tv website) Good to hear, I'd also like to add that NHL Gamecenter streams (720p @ 60fps) are working as well. I was having issues yesterday but I'm chalking that up to the HDMI to DVI cable I was using at work. As soon as I got home and tried it on my tv all the stuttering was gone and playback was as good as my HTPC. The only difference I see is when starting a game, the screen is completely black w/ audio. It's hard to explain what happens, but black blocks on the screen will start to be replaced with the actually video and it isn't until the whole screen is refreshed, about 5 or 6 seconds later, the video is displayed completely and continues to play normal from there on. Again very minor set back here, for it being only 3 days old now. I am very happy with this purchase. RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - radiohead6969 - 2014-04-05 did you guys disable libstagefright or keep in on for the spmc and ouya versions RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - Zeman4323 - 2014-04-05 (2014-04-05, 20:46)radiohead6969 Wrote: did you guys disable libstagefright or keep in on for the spmc and ouya versions I have been leaving it on. RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - eracknaphobia - 2014-04-05 Default settings, both on for me. However, I'm on Koying latest build (sorry I replied without reading your post completely) RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - radiohead6969 - 2014-04-05 still have major frame drops on big buck bunny on 12.3.2 gonna test spmc 12.3.3 RE: Amazon Fire TV for XBMC - MediaPi - 2014-04-05 goodbye Ouya. you was a good stepping stone.
