RE: Copacetic: A real good time with your media [Nexus] - Starmanrf - 2022-10-27

Ah that's fantastic, both features working and looking great, thank you so much for this!!

Hope it wasn't too much trouble, it's super appreciated. Most logos look great on it, although some that use the full real estate of their image frame can appear a bit large.... but I doubt anyone's ever gonna win with scaling logos and I don't know where to begin with a suggestion on the scale of reduction. Is the clearlogo code on the home XML ? as I might try a few different heights to find a happy medium before I suggest a change, ive got over 4000 in my library so I should be able to gauge the optimal fairly well.

Kudos on the work!! The whole skin is a visual marvel.

Thanks, glad you're enjoying it!

I agree it's a bit large, I just copied the size of the clearlogo from the main views, which is 560x237. I try to ensure that the size stays to the aspectratio of the standard size for clearlogos (800x310) and to the closest full pixel. If you want to play around with sizes, the clearlogo is contained in an include called Home_Clearlogo, which you can find at line 109 in Includes.xml.

@"QuizKid" Excellent, found it.

So I've had a play around. I've went through about 2000 fanart and their respective clearlogo's lol. I've only tweaked it by about 15% size, which seems to be the sweet spot as any smaller can make it difficult to see smaller text lines in some logos. Also turns out that top left isn't as optimal for placement as i thought it would be in my concept post - over half of all fanart pics obstructed a main character or visual feature - my bad. I've given it a go in the bottom right as most of the time that area is pretty much dead space on landscapes. What do you reckon? Includes.xml

lo que hice fue pasar la configuración que hice en la pc a la nvidia schield y me quedo funcionando, aunque sería mejor tener la opción de poder cargar en fuentes el link y que se actualice automáticamente, amo el skin, es rápido hermoso visualmente

Hi, I'm not sure if this is related to your issue, but there was a problem with my code that meant it was not possible to add a manual source for a zip in dialogmediasource.xml. This has now been fixed. Please let me know if your issue persits, thanks.

@darioro In case you hadn't noticed yet: this is an English-only forum. So kindly use a translating service like Google Translate so we all can see what you are trying to tell.

What I did was transfer the configuration I made on the PC to the nvidia schield and it stayed working, although it would be better to have the option of being able to load the link in sources and have it update automatically, I love the skin, it is fast visually beautiful

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you're enjoying it.

This has only just moved from alpha to beta. While it was alpha code I was happy to have it as a zip file on a github that people could manually install if they wanted to. Once I've finished squashing the current bugs, I intend to either set up a proper repository for it so people can update it automatically, or submit it to the official kodi repo if that is a possibility. But that would certainly need to wait for Nexus to launch at the very least.

Happy to go with your instinct here as it's not a feature I use myself and was your request Wink

@quizkid you must be a mind reader, I was thinking about an idea like a home screensaver or minimising the menu... Loving it!! On retrospect bottom left looks great on clearlog...Kudos!

Thanks, I was playing around with your idea and I thought the issue is the menu being in the way, but if you're not using it, it doesn't need to be there!

Things like this are much easier now because of the new skin timers in Nexus.

RE: Copacetic: A real good time with your media [Nexus] - realcopacetic - 2022-11-05

Copacetic is now available via my repository. I've updated my handle in this forum so it's now aligned with what's on github.

You can find the realcopacetic repo here: https://realcopacetic.github.io

I would recomend uninstalling Copacetic, then instead installing it via the repo so that it will stay updated automatically. Instructions in the first post if you're not sure how

@realcopacetic

Do you intend to submit to the Kodi repo also? It will give more exposure as users can quickly install through Kodi without too much hassle. Another benefit is your own sub-forum in the Skin forum.

Hi @Karellen. That was my plan initially but upon reading the guidelines I don't think it will be eligible.

I'm making use of hidden buttons in focusedlayouts to perform certain actions each time a new listitem is focused and it makes warnings in the log. I am also currently still dependent on Embuary Helper, which causes a lot of warnings in Nexus.

I intend to try and make my own helper add-on to replicate the parts of Embuary helper I need, which will hopefully get rid of those warnings, but I'm not yet sure of a way to maintain current functionality without the hidden buttons.
