I just looked a little bit into the "Export HTML" feature and did an export of my database.

Worked as promised but I think there is a little flaw:
As far as I understand then the fanarts of all movies are exported in files with name like <movie_nr>_fanart.jpg
The number seems to be according to the alphabetical sorting of the films?
Right now the result are for my collection 140 MB in the export directory (fanarts and covers).
Allright, upload speeds with DSL are crap, but I uploaded the complete export to my webspace.
But what happens if I add a new movie to my database, eg "2012"? This movie is sorted in at the top of the list because of its name and if I do a new export of the database now each and every fanart and cover file has a new name with its number increased by one. So now I have to upload again the complete 140 MB to my webspace, although just 1 cover and 1 fanart are new.

This is very annoying I think and so I have a proposal: Couldn't the files (and the placeholders in the HTML) not use another unique number? First in mind comes the IMDB-ID. This way the exported image files keep their name
with every export and only new files needed to be uploaded to the webspace.

Would this be possible?

Any other place to report errors besides the Ember site forum? It won't let me register. It ran fine for a few weeks, now nothing shows up and every time I try to change something it crashes. Tried a fresh install and still have the same problem.

+1! I have been bugged by this for some time now and would love this! Either IMDB-id or an internal MovieID. Pretty please Smile

Hi,

on EMM there is the option to add the Trailer URL.

Since i use XBMC with EMM, which skin should i use so i could watch the Trailer of my movies, before starting the movie?

I've been away from EMM for awhile. What's the best way to download trailers (preferably HD) for a group of selected movies?

Hi.

I need some help with regex for tv shows. My folder structure is as follows:

Series\
--Show Name\
----Season 01\
------Show Name 1x01 - Episode Name.ext
----Season XX\
----Specials\
------Show Name 0x13 - Special Name.ext

With the default regex, sometimes the seasons and episodes are correctly picked but other times they disappear when I scrape the show or appear with negative episode number.

Can someone help me?

TV Seasons specific poster\fanart not displaying (DHARMA) - joedeal - 2010-09-15

Hello,
For some reason XBMC (Dharma) doesnt show the per season posters\fanart for each season of a particular show that I used Ember to scrape. For instance "Lost" has 6 seasons and 7 posters\fanarts (1 for each season and 1 for all seasons). But XBMC displays the same poster\fanart for each season (the poster\fanart for all seasons) when using Ember. If I delete the localally saved posters\fanart\nfos and let XBMC scrape, each seasons fanart\posters show correctly.....

is this an incompatibility with Ember and Dharma?...or am I doing something wrong? thanks.

Hello, I am wanting to use TMDB as the data scraper instead of IMDB.. I searched the EMM site and found the feature request with this as the solution: http://www.embermm.com/issues/539

"Not necessary with the xml scrapers... users can just pick the TMDB xml."

What does this mean, how do I do it? I really need to use TMDB for a lot of my MMA stuff.

Thanks

TV Shows. scraping and Ember Media Manager - DrMedia - 2010-09-20

A mate put me on too EMM for managing content art and info, so I set about re-organising all my media so that I could use it...

Moves went ok, but when it came to TV Shows, the only ones that display artwork etc are those that I did not manage myself, i.e., the info has been scraped from the web and not locally. The shows I had manually done end up with the banner squeezed into what should be the dvd case on th emain library titles page. There is no other artwork displayed for prog, season, episode etc...

My TV Shows folder structure is TV>SHOWNAME>SEASONXX>episdoes go here. Ive noticed EMM places some artwork in the SHOWNAME folder, and also in folder containing the episodes (SEASONXX). As I mentioned, the only artwork displayed is the banner (the narrow strip image) which is shrunk horizontlaly to fit in the dvd case style frame.

When XBMC is collecting this info, will it always search the directories with the episodes in etc, before getting them from the web?

Anyone got any advice?

Ta

Hi guys, does anyone have a recently compiled version of EMM stored remotely anywhere.. I'd love to have a newer version than the officially released one but doubt I'll be very successful compiling it myself... Hoping to see if newer emm builds are compatible with the layout of nfo / fanart etc for BDMV structure in XBMC Dharma.

Hope things are well and development is still ongoing?! I am desperate to see the TV-show-function properly implemented. I am looking for a way that I can scrape "missing information" in the same way I can do for movies. Always, desperately waiting for a function to have EMM spit out list of missing seasons/episodes for all TV series in my library.

Any thoughts about due date?

yes same here, still waiting for an update for that TV scrape bug :-(
