RE: [RELEASE] AutoWidget - Let your widgets work for you! - MrDoAsILike - 2021-09-18 I just want to thank you for your hard work on this amazing app. It's literally changed how I setup my Shield/Kodi. Only question I have is about adding a refresh shortcut to my power menu. If I could trouble you (or anyone) for the correct command as the ones that I've run into over the lifespan of your app from various sources have not worked. In any case, keep up the amazing work. You are appreciated. RE: [RELEASE] AutoWidget - Let your widgets work for you! - jdig4240 - 2021-09-28 Drinfernoo, I almost gave up and deleted this addon. I kept getting constant Kodi crashes after entering shortcut pages and exiting. I setup a bunch of shortcut sections, so i didnt want to give up easily. So I found the fix in my situation. I remembered other addons having this issue also, which turns out to be the Language Invoker. Some addons have an option to disable this feature, but Autowidgets does not. After manually changing to false in addon.xml the issue was fixed. <reuselanguageinvoker>false</reuselanguageinvoker>. So just maybe a suggestion. If you can add an option to disable this in AW settings? As this was driving me crazy for the last couple days. No helpful stuff in kodi.log because it just crashes kodi immediately. Using Amber Skin, Windows 10. Kodi 19.1. RE: [RELEASE] AutoWidget - Let your widgets work for you! - Juansol81 - 2021-09-28 Hello there!! I have a question ... is it possible to choose a background image for each shortcut? if I create a group with several shortcuts, each of them has its own background image, an effect similar to a widget with movies RE: [RELEASE] AutoWidget - Let your widgets work for you! - drinfernoo - 2021-09-28 (2021-09-28, 14:59)jdig4240 Wrote: Drinfernoo, I almost gave up and deleted this addon. Using Amber Skin, Windows 10. Kodi 19.1. Interesting... I can look into adding an option for it, but would rather find the root cause. The language invoker causing issues is more of a symptom than a cause, and could mean something else may be wrong, as AutoWidget has had that setting turned on by default since even before the 2.0.0 release. Using Amber Skin, Windows 10. Kodi 19.1. Yea, I cant pinpoint the cause. I just started using it again. I used it at the beginning, but as it was new and you were making changes that would break all the shortcuts i made on a previous version, it became exhausting to redo every update. But now hopefully breaking changes will slow down and I can really start setting up my shortcuts again. So the issue was with shortcut groups. After I completed a shortcut group, i added a main menu item shortcut or a submenu shortcut to an autowidget shortcut group. It opens fine, but when I click back to the home screen Kodi force closes about 50% of the time, no usable info in the kodi.log with debugging on. Just Kodi .dmp logs. As I remember language invoker caused issues on certain other addons with certain skins, which led me to look for the setting. After setting it to false, not one crash. *I will test the same shortcut groups with a different skin with language invoker True, and see if i can replicate it, but for now since I have Amber all setup the way i want I will just set to False and up the version #of AW to stop updates. RE: [RELEASE] AutoWidget - Let your widgets work for you! - jdig4240 - 2021-09-29 Drinfernoo, just a couple requests for you to consider.. First thing I would like to see if possible is adding password protection option to shortcut groups? The other thing that would come in handy is an option to remember last folder. So when im making larger lists of stuff for shortcut groups I dont need to browse to the group each time i start bulk adding stuff to a shortcut group. These are both features that im used to using in Super Favorites. Thanks. "Remembering last folder" would likely cause issues if you wanted to add to a different folder, or else need a whole different mechanism for adding paths. And password protection isn't really something I'm keen on. RE: [RELEASE] AutoWidget - Let your widgets work for you! - cryptid - 2021-10-09 cant autowidget display the contents of favourites.xml as a widget? I've been trying to figuring it out, and searching this thread, but i can't get the hang of it. i like the built in favourites function because it's less clicks, but there's no favourites widget which I thought i'd be able to solve with autowidgets... RE: [RELEASE] AutoWidget - Let your widgets work for you! - bytok - 2021-10-10 Hi everyone, Newbies here. Is there a way to achieve an endless scroll with autowidget ? For now, I still have this "See more" menu. It should be possible to auto load more items when we reach the list end, right ? If you can find a menu for favorites, you should be able to add it as a widget... but there may also be skins that allow you to point a widget directly at favorites. Not really sure, to be honest. |
