Knowing that the TV shows are still in early stage, I am making another attempt to use EMM for TV shows.

I had an episode (S03E28) included, but then had to delete it as I found out that the file is defect. After deleting, the it shows as "missing episode" in Ember, which is accurate. Problem is that it doesn't re-appear after adding the new (this time proper episode). I tried "update library" and "rescrape season", but no success.

Any thoughts?

If the rate of modifications is a source of frustration, why not offer what the project really needs - more programmers willing to work on it.

Yes, you may not be a programmer, but no one was when they were born. All it takes is a little time to learn.

I would say EMM is almost fully operational with the discussed workaround for movies. It's working quite well (not sure about TV part though).

EDIT: Well, it's working for TV for me too.

Same here. With trick from olympia everything is working fine.
The last 10-15 days i added three TV Shows (The Event, Justified, Hawaii Five-0 and several new seasons and episodes like The Mentalist, Fringe, Chuck etc) and several Movies (Winters Bone, Grown Ups, Toy Story 3, Jonah Hex, Get Him To The Greek etc) and all scraped fine.
I am writing the titles of TV Shows & Movies in case that someone having a problem scraping something difficult or strange to scrap in any way.

Cheers

How many of those complaining have donated to the Ember project? Bottom line, it's an AMAZING piece of free software that by and large does exactly what's needed. You can't expect perfection for free. There's an old saying, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar... and right now, there's a lot of vinegar on this board.

Jason / Nuno / Olympia - thanks again for all you've delivered to this point.

Is there a way to have the XBMCStuff module download the standard size images instead of the low resolution ones?

there is also no perfection if you pay. i dont know about a product that is perfect, even if you pay. for me there is only one product, this is opera browser. this is perfection!

EMM works fine for me also...

...but to don't have a <country></country> tag, this is not normal if you make a software for movies, and there are all information, about a cleaning lady on the movie set, and not have country tag. i don't think its a bug. there is no option for country. and if i edit in xml manually, it will be deleted if i update the movie.

Tiny Clanger Wrote:Is this on the initial scan? If you add the .nfo after XBMC's scanned the file itself, it won't pick up the changes unless you manually refresh that movie/show.

Really wish XBMC would store the "last scanned" time and refresh automatically if the .nfo has a more recent timestamp - it would make my life a lot easier Smile

I don't. I always put my movies through the media manager first and scan my items to XBMC afterwards. This has never been a problem before, only when upgraded to Dharma.

This has happened to me a few times - there's an option along the lines of "ignore time of last scrape" in the settings. (I'm at work right now, so can't check exact name/location, but there are two: one somewhere under TV Shows, and one somewhere under Movies).

EMM won't look at anything it thinks it's already scraped if that's set wrong: set it to ignore the last scrape time, update library, then you can set it back again (it does speed up updates quite a bit once you've got a fair bit of stuff!)

No, it doesn't.

Does anyone have a workaround for Embers issue with re-compressing downloaded images?

(they downloaded ones look worse than the source images and the file size is quite a bit smaller)

Does EMM work with Dharma beta 3 - ritalin - 2010-10-26

So this is my first time using EMM and after working out a few bugs it seems to be working pretty well for me.

I just preformed a scan on my network drive on a clean install of Dharma Beta 3 and it doesn't seem to notice any of the files that EMM has put into the movie folders.

Its likely that I am overlooking something as I am new to using EMM. Is there a trick to getting Dharma Beta 3 to use the pre-scrapped files or does it just not work at this point? I have had a look through this thread but I cant seem to find an answer. The thread is pretty damn big so I apologize if I over looked it.

Any help would be appreciated.
