RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - leejk - 2015-09-26 I'm seeing an instability problem that cv is creating with Kodi. After playing a movie using cv, if I try to launch cv from the programs list, it will not launch. Then if I try and shut down Kodi, it will hang up. Here is a log: http://goo.gl/7F9gtC RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - japes - 2015-09-26 DId a full test last night for Family Movie night...everything worked fine for us. The friends we had over enjoyed the experience...Big Hero 6 with a pre-show entertainment featuring a 1940 Superman short episode and Pixar and Dreamworks fun fact slides. I like how the context menu launcher lets you choose your sequence saves so I don't have to open the app to change it before hand. Yes, that is definitely a great feature for those of us who have multiple sequences set up. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - marhutchy - 2015-09-27 Latest update works great on my side RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - billroden - 2015-09-28 .43 up and running on 15.1 isengard. This is very nice. Thanks to all that had there hand in developing this. One thing that was a little odd. The volume on the music that plays during the slide show/trivia is very faint. So is the short m&m movie. The trailers are a little better, but when I get to the audio bumper, it blasts the room over. I have the volume setting to 100% in CV settings. What am I missing? Thanks to all that had there hand in developing this. Do all the videos/music play at the same volume through a media player of as individual files in Kodi? Not every video or audio file has the same volume ;eve; and that is likely your issue. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - bubblegum57 - 2015-09-28 You can adjust volumes of slides etc in the configuration RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - billroden - 2015-09-28 I understand that bubblgum. They are all set to 100% but you can barely hear it. When I play the files on a different media player....the difference is negligible. That's why I was thinking it was something on kodi/xbmc. For the record, I had the same issue on gotham while using Cinema Experience. Sometimes, if the NUC volume is too low, I can't hear much. Another thing to check is Kodi audio settings, stero upmix etc?? RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Ragnarok - 2015-09-28 For those who don't know, 0.0.44 is up! Make sure you update! (2015-09-26, 01:46)Dave the Minion Wrote: Log We've fixed one bug from your log. If you would, install version 0.0.44. Using that version, I need you to run a content update and then post another log to be sure we're capturing what we need to. We've added more logging to help us figure out what's going on. We did a bit of an overhaul on trailers, so I'm hoping that issue is fixed. (2015-09-26, 20:35)leejk Wrote: I'm seeing an instability problem that cv is creating with Kodi. Here is a log: http://goo.gl/7F9gtC We're looking through your logs, and we did notice a problem. For some reason, a Service (Lazy TV I think) was throwing a lot of errors every time a video stopped playing. Because of those errors, it looks like the CinemaVision add-on couldn't exit properly. Code: 4:19:34 T:140717540235008 ERROR: EXCEPTION Thrown (PythonToCppException) : -->Python callback/script returned the following error<-- Try disabling that Service (Lazy TV) and see what happens. Happy to be a part of your movie night, that's for sure. Let us know if you have ideas for improvements. Keep in mind, while we might be the ones funding this, the whole community has been involved in one way or another. Feel free to contribute if you have ideas or anything that may help us come up with a better add-on. (2015-09-28, 02:10)billroden Wrote: One thing that was a little odd. Are you running a setup with an AVR? I had an issue that I was able to fix in Kodi settings with passing through signal, and upgrading stereo audio to surround. The only videos (besides features) that are built with surround are the Audio Format Bumpers, so the issue I had was that until I enabled Stereo upmix (as bubblegum57 suggested) the stereo content was left at a much lower volume than my DTS bumpers, which was odd. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - billroden - 2015-09-28 Ok...so it sounds like I'm not the only one with this problem. I am running my HTPC through a Yamaha AVR. What settings would anyone recommend in the audio. I already have it set to passthru the receiver. Is the stereo up mix supposed to be selected or not? What about the downmix? What about the downmix? On the AVR use a setting that doesn't add any simulated surround to a stereo signal. Just use a pure direct mode or whatever Yamaha's equivalent would be that sends/plays the audio signal as-is directly to the speakers and see how that sounds. If you already have the AVR in a direct mode then KODI's mixing settings are the likely culprit. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Dave the Minion - 2015-09-29 Log Everything seems to be working great not. No issues accessing the 3D sequence and no scanning of local trailers before CV runs. Awesome! Now to figure out how to get CV to trigger a couple Z-Wave scenes at certain points. That's all new coding to me and looks scary!!!!! If I can get Z-wave working I'll make a video of CV in action at my buddy's home theater, in full. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - leejk - 2015-09-30 One thing that is a little annoying when using the Phillips Hue addon, is that if you have it set to dim the lights on movie playback, when using CV it will brighten/dim the lights on each segment of the sequence. Not ideal. Is there anyway CV can fool KODI into thinking it's playing one continuous video to prevent this? thx |
