LibreELEC is the one distribution that we place "no effort" into ensuring it works on after the last debacle with their administrative bunch. Unlike the professionalism demonstrated at OSMC, LibreELEC is in my personal opinion, probably the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a distribution (there's no contact information readily available for them and I am sorry but IRC is not a valid proper channel - I think they are the ones who still use IRC). In either case, as harsh as it is to say: LibreELEC support is in a position of "if it works, it works; if it doesn't work, it doesn't work." It's a situation of no readily findable proper contact channels plus I can't even post on their forums (calling them a "small distribution relatively speaking" makes them take it very personally) means the best anyone using it can hope for is that "perhaps it works." May I suggest OSMC? I believe they've started their Krypton trials. I tried OSMC, but it seems it doens't work for me. I had several installations and everytime something didn't work (VNC or TVHeadend.....). So I think it's no option to try OSMC again. The strange thing is: the original release of the skin has the same problem. RE: Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes (Jarvis / Krypton Fixed) [3.2.21 / 4.2.20-alpha6] - Guardian Hope - 2016-09-09 Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes Danvers (Preview Alpha 8) Released to Update Origin Well, you know what they say, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade!" Alpha 7 was suspended from distribution yesterday due to a fatal bug. Today, I am pleased to announce that through hard work, AZ:FA Alpha 8 has been released to the update origin and will begin installing on devices in the next 2-4 hours. When I have assembled release notes and screenshots of the latest update, I will post them here and push the update to the Emby Beta Repository. For this one, I believe you need to give a special thanks to @minus0 and @braz and an additional special thanks to one of my RAID Array's for possibly failing me. Cumulative Update Alpha 8 for the Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes Danvers Preview will be available and downloaded to devices in 2-4 hours if not sooner. The solution for this was to install all required addons manually before. It works for all, only service.library.data.provider-master doesn't work and a black screen appears. With your new alpha8 I get the message with dependency errors. Can you give me a list of all needed addons, then I could install them manually. Or can I look in the log file which addon causes this error? Thanks in advance! Arctic Zephyr: Braz and Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes Join Forces With AZ:FA Danvers still well into development on its own and Alpha 8 being released earlier today, it may be a little premature to begin discussing this but after speaking with Braz, AZ:FA and AZ:B will be joining forces making one heck of a "super mod:" Arctic Zephyr: For Another Age (AZ:FA - See How I kept the same abbreviation). Arctic Zephyr: For Another Age will take the best of Arctic Zephyr: Braz and bring it into Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes and anything and everything which can be made to be toggable (for example, which "info screen" you get when you press "i" on a show or movie) will be made to do so. AZ:B has a lot of great features that make sense to have in AZ:FA and with Arctic Zephyr: For Another Age, this can and will happen. With this news I must also state that it is very likely the AZ:FA Danvers Home Screen won't become available until Arctic Zephyr: For Another Age since AZ:B incorporates design elements fitting to the planned Danvers Home Screen. We are very excited for the possibilities of Arctic Zephyr: For Another Age and you will begin seeing certain changes made throughout the Danvers Preview and later the Danvers released versions for Arctic Zephyr: For Another Age. P.S. Release Notes on AZ:FA Danvers Preview Alpha 8 are inbound for tomorrow! I am pushing the update to Emby's Repo right now. I gotta ask, because in the recent update cycle there have been some glaring errors. (No access to the settings page on one whichIcaught) and now this alpha 7 not working with Libreelec, followed by some bizarre reasoning. Then an announcement that alpha 7 has been pulled (it's also not available from the northebridge repo.) Emby Beta gets alpha 8 and would you believe it,the same libreelec build that wouldn't install alpha 7 has no problems installing alpha 8. I can understand with the skin being in an alpha state that things can go wrong from time to time. But please if you're gonna make excuses or blame something else, could you at least have the decency to be a bit more plausible. Then an announcement that alpha 7 has been pulled (it's also not available from the northebridge repo.) @lusephur - I am only going to dignify your statements once and only once because quite frankly, if you are going to come into this thread with that tone you're not someone that I would care to deal with (in regards to LibreELEC). Alpha 7 was pulled because of a fatal error causing Kodi to crash. It was fixed in the Alpha 8 Cumulative Update. In fact, this was explained as likely a few things: the updates were pulled into the Alpha 7 Git and then during Conflict Resolution (Branch Conflict), likely overwritten or a combination of me not pressing the "sync" button in the GitHub client and thus committing Alpha 7 in an earlier state. This is not difficult to understand.- it's an Alpha and mistakes happen. If every release went perfectly no one would complain. There was once a running joke that you should wait for the ".01 release" because every ".00" release got pulled. That was long ago. No one here blamed LibreELEC or anything else. Actually, the message indicating that the pulling of AZ:FA Danvers Alpha 7 was occurring actually states "it's a critical bug in Alpha 7." So let's be clear about my statements regarding LibreELEC to two people that were respectful: I said "if it works, it works; if it doesn't work, it doesn't work" [since AZ:FA isn't tested against LibreELEC). However, you are a beacon of why I don't like the LibreELEC community whatsoever. It's like no one in that community can grasp reading comprehension. Otherwise you wouldn't have posted saying I "blamed LibreELEC for it not working." Seriously, is there only two people from the LibreELEC community that can read and understand? Finally, and for the record: yes, this is me being frustrated about the LibreELEC community. Yes, there are bad seeds in every community but it seems all I encounter from LibreELEC is this absurdity and as such I'm happy to help those that are respectful but the vast majority are not and thus the blanket statement: "if it works, it works; if it doesn't work, it doesn't work." RE: Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes (Jarvis / Krypton Fixed) [3.2.21 / 4.2.20-alpha6] - Guardian Hope - 2016-09-11 Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes Danvers (Preview Alpha 8) "We Got it Mostly Right This Time..."[align=center]After the debacle of Alpha 7, I am pleased to announce Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes Danvers (Preview Alpha 8). A Cumulative Update to Alpha 7 (meaning it has all of Alpha 7's changes) plus the fixes to Alpha 7 to prevent Kodi from crashing, the latest release brings with it a number of GUI changes and "under-the-hood" changes. It has been tested to work on multiple platforms with Kodi Krypton Beta 1 so you shouldn't run into too many problems if any at all. The Alpha 8 Preview introduces a major version change up to 4.9.90 as we get closer to the AZ:FA Danvers Beta and features a myriad of more changes. Please note that the Music Hub may still unexpected crash with this release. We do however believe that this release is stable enough to at least sit out in the wild for a little while and give @minus0 and myself a little time to rest. We have been shotgunning releases for quite a while and I do believe that this is a good spot to say "we've completed lap 1." So, as long as everyone can live with the Music Hub not working for a little bit and the symbol errors, we'll have AZ:FA Danvers (Preview Beta 1) for you at the end of September which should give us time to recuperate and me some additional time to get the AZ:FA Danvers/AZ:FA (For Another Age) site up and running so everyone here gets access to all the information. Sorry to hear about your problem with the Apple TV4 TVOS GM (I'm part of the Apple Developer Program but I don't own an Apple TV so you'll need to help me a little here). If you can view the logfile, Kodi should actually tell you what dependency is not being met. However, with that said: as long as you have the Kodi Krypton Repo which every Kodi Krypton (Kodi 17 has) and either the NortheBridge By Design Repo or the Emby Beta Repo, you should satisfy all dependencies.
