Ember Media Manager Posters/Banners - MarkTaunton - 2010-12-03 Sorry but I honestly did not know where to put this, hopefully it is in the right place. First off I use Ember all the time to scrape, so fantastic job. Buttt..... I am not sure if there is a solution to problem and if so, would it have to be Ember or XBMC that needs changing? *** Problem *** A lot of skins have different views, and some look better than others with certain types of art work. Say for example Skin Alpha looks crap using Poster view, but excellent using Banner view. Skin Delta looks excellent using Poster view, but crap using Banner view Obviously you can scrape for a poster and an all seasons poster, but you cannot scrape for a banner. When you change views from say cover flow to banners it uses that one single image that you have scraped rather than saying, ok I know this image is a poster as it is 100 x 100 rather than 600 x 300 for a banner. So literally when a new skin comes out, if you have scrapped all posters, rather than banners, and posters look crap on that skin, then you have to update all of XBMC again just to make those changes to get the view that you really like. Does anyone know if there are plans on Ember being able to scrape both poster and banner and more importantly if this will ever be implimented in XBMC at all? Regards Mark - MarkTaunton - 2010-12-03 Question answered here unless Ember can shed more light on their end? http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=86692 - publicENEMY - 2010-12-04 olympia Wrote:lol, it's xbmc controller which should support Dharma and not vica versa, but no, xbmc contoller is not supporting Dharma. hehe. that what i meant. doesnt really matter anyway couse dharma can read ember nfo just fine. thanks. - traxxus - 2010-12-04 olympia Wrote:no, that's because ofdb is listing the movie titles like that. Thanks for answer sir, but there IS a solution! I found it: - MrDVD - 2010-12-05 traxxus Wrote:Thanks for answer sir, but there IS a solution! Are you sure ? As i remember ofdb have it already at the end and not ember but it there. - xeonicxpression - 2010-12-05 Is there a way to get movies to stop being scraped with "The IMAX Experience" added on? - publicENEMY - 2010-12-05 xeonicxpression Wrote:Is there a way to get movies to stop being scraped with "The IMAX Experience" added on? title with "The IMAX Experience" usually are akas. dont use akas. or manually edit. then lock title. until someone makes a better scraper. - xeonicxpression - 2010-12-05 publicENEMY Wrote:title with "The IMAX Experience" usually are akas. dont use akas. or manually edit. then lock title. until someone makes a better scraper. Thanks, I'll check the settings. Edit:Would that be "Force Title Language"? - traxxus - 2010-12-05 MrDVD Wrote:Are you sure ? As i remember ofdb have it already at the end and not ember but it there. Im sure, ember makes everything ok now. - MrDVD - 2010-12-05 traxxus Wrote:Im sure, ember makes everything ok now. You are german ? I edited this long ago but when i scrape via OFDB (german infos) it is still wrong. If you didnt scrape via OFDB you are correct, but when you check ofdb yourself you will see that on there www "the, der, die, das and so on" is at the end of the title. - traxxus - 2010-12-06 Yes im german And ofdb is active in ember: - MrDVD - 2010-12-06 Thats now realy strange Here my pics and as i know Walhalla have it the same way. I rescraped this movie right now to see if OFDB maybe changed something. - traxxus - 2010-12-06 "lock title" enabled? Then remove the movie "Die Fälscher" an rescan. - MrDVD - 2010-12-06 As i know "Lock Title" only means that while an rescan the Title will not be changed. So for my understand this mean, when you select "Lock Title" and edit it once so that in this case "Die" is in front it will stay while an rescan also in front, as the title will not be changed. Here the link to OFDB and also there www display "Fälscher, Die" - traxxus - 2010-12-06 In a few minutes i scan a brand new film in my archive: "Die Brücke am Kwai" Im sure! ember will sort it by letter "D" and not "B".
