- Marcos - 2011-01-13 Interesting stuff! Wish i could help but all i can recommend is starting a new thread for development so it gets others interested. Not sure how many people are checking the last pages of this thread - bencorn - 2011-01-13 tuscani Wrote:When does this occur? It happens immediately when I click the .exe to start the program. I extracted the file to a new folder on my desktop and tried to open it from there, so no overwrite. No log file shows up, the program apparently isn't booting far enough to create one. Not sure what the issue is. - TomPiXX - 2011-01-13 bencorn Wrote:You have to pay to use that software with their point system. You could check out a few of the alternatives in the XBMC Supplemental Tools Forum. Media Companion, XMM2, Media Center Master, Media Info Plus. Or just keep ember and use one of the fixes that were listed. No, you DON'T have to pay. You can use it for free with all of the needed functions. You just have to "pay" if you want to have some goodies. And you don't have to pay money, you can get points if you contribute data and so on. I'm a MyMovies user cause I'm a switcher from MS MC to XBMC and for MC this was to ultimate Movie Collection. This software made it easy to me to use my entire MS MC collection with XBMC .nfo files. - bencorn - 2011-01-13 TomPiXX Wrote:No, you DON'T have to pay. Ah, guess I missed that part. I just installed it to try it and I went to enable one of the functions and it popped up that I needed 1000 points to unlock it and it popped up a window that said "Buy Points" and I uninstalled it. Guess I should have read more into it. - TugboatBill - 2011-01-13 If you want fanart you need 1000 points, which can be purchased for $40. - tuscani - 2011-01-13 bencorn Wrote:It happens immediately when I click the .exe to start the program. Not sure what the issue is. what OS are you running? try this, copy the following from the root dir and place them in the Modules folder EmberAPI.dll ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll System.Data.SQLite.dll - gizmotoy - 2011-01-13 tuscani Wrote:if there are any programmers that would care to join in on maintaining this wonder program, please contact me. I might be interested. I don't have the source handy... what language is Ember programmed in? C#? Also, I spent a good deal of time getting all the settings the way I want. If I move to a different version of Ember, any idea what files I need to copy into the new install to retain my settings/plugins? - bencorn - 2011-01-13 tuscani Wrote:what OS are you running? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. Tried copying the files to modules and the same error pops up. Tried running it as an admin, tried running a in compatibility mode a couple different ways, all the same. Was I suppose to copy this over another installation or should it work right out of the RAR? - Ludeboy12 - 2011-01-13 I'm getting the same error here. Also on win7 64. - gmk2 - 2011-01-13 gizmotoy Wrote:I might be interested. I don't have the source handy... what language is Ember programmed in? C#? Its programmed in visual basic. I would expect your settings should remain pretty much the same - not much has changed in the ember settings in the last revisions. - tuscani - 2011-01-13 bencorn Wrote:I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. AdvancedSettings.xml Media.emm Settings.xml any plugins that are not part of the default installation can be copied from the Modules folder. - runderekrun - 2011-01-13 tuscani Wrote:http://sourceforge.net/projects/emm-revisited/files/EMM-Revisited%201.2.15-x64_Basic.rar/download Thanks broseidon! I can confirm this working on Windows 7 x64. - bencorn - 2011-01-13 runderekrun Wrote:Thanks broseidon! I can confirm this working on Windows 7 x64. Agreed. Thanks so much for the quick fix. Over the past few days I've gone back and tried to use a few of the other managers and for me they just can't compare to Ember. Thanks for helping keep this program alive. Help using Ember Media! - johnny87au - 2011-01-13 hey guys i checked the how to guide section and couldnt find the answer so im posting here hehe, ive been reading and watching videos the last 7 hours and really stuck.. Ive downloaded the XBMC dharma installer and also downloaded skin.showmix skin after installing everything etc ive noticed no info comes up or any pictures like most guys on this forum does, So i watched the video on how to get the nfo, thumbnails etc for the videos but when i add source which is Movies then another folder inside called "Alice in Wonderland" then another inside called "Alice in wonderland" which is the actual movie, I added like 5 movies just to test it out to see if it could get some info/pics etc and it isnt detecting anything? Im using Ember versing 1.3 rev 2441.. Is there another way to do it because seems like it isnt working? And looks like silly when i boot up XMBC and have no pics/info nothing, thanks |
