With the Background Artwork setting now applying to all submenu items under the main menu item you apply your chosen artwork to... why wouldn't we just have Live Content as an additional option on that screen? Then the Background Type option can be removed from the Home Menu Items section of the Skin Settings. This makes more sense to me, but just a thought.

It's a code problem - the "Background Artwork" section sets the path for kodi to look for images, where as the option in the menu items sets an on off toggle to include a bunch more code to show live content.

Also I don't seem to have the incorrect background on the "Recently Added Episode" - Used Kryptonite theme - easier to see Smile all menu items set to "User Select" and all backgrounds set to "Theme". This screenshot from submenu "Recently Added" under "TVShows" menu item.

Cool, I like the Kryptonite theme. Unfortunately it doesn't matter what theme I use, I still have the issue.

Identical config to what you mention and it's a black backgound for me.

I'll do a fresh Kodi install and see if that makes any difference.

OK, fresh Kodi (OpenELEC 5.0.0) install with no modifications other than adding my video sources. Installed Hybrid Repo, then CCM Helix 3.0.7.

Switched to Kryptonite skin, disabled Global Backgrounds, disabled List Item Background FanArt and set Background Artwork to Theme for Videos, Movies and TV Shows. Went to Home Menu Items and set Videos, Movies and TV Shows to User Select as Background Type.

Exactly the same result as I've been describing previously.

Like a shot!
I run it on the pi without any bells or whistles though - gray theme (lime green text, woohoo), no widgets etc. I've found in the past (frodo / gotham) that as you turn stuff on it just slows too much.
Right now I've a pi running ccm connected to a mysql library, pvr enabled, lots of playlists on the home screen and it's running well.

Okay - It's something with the " List Item Background FanArt " setting, as I've just managed to emulate your problem - I can get it on "Recently Added Episodes "

Cheers - I'll look for it

RE: CCM for Helix - Vimes - 2015-01-31

"I'll be back" says the bracket lol Big Grin

RE: CCM for Helix - Mudislander - 2015-01-31

Big Grin There's probably a few more that I missed, from having the multi-coloured font

RE: CCM for Helix - yabel - 2015-01-31

I have to say a Big thank you for all work with this skin and options you give users. Been using xbmc for almost 9 years but this is the 1st skin I feel good about tweaking. I have made it look different ( which i like) and to be easy to use and addons/buttons easy to find ( which wife likes). Only problem I find now is I keep thinking of colors/text to add or change. lol
Thx again and keep up the good work. Smile

RE: CCM for Helix - Mudislander - 2015-01-31

You're welcome - Hope you like "Black Backgrounds" though Big Grin

I do it that way for quite a few scripts as it's faster to check if a skin setting is enabled rather than checking if the plugin is installed every time I want to display something from it.

And obviously only TVShows with a soon to be aired episode showup - but I'm sure you know that Smile

Tried to enable this option though it is greyed out, wondering what I am missing.
Strike that I figured it out, I really need t shake my head on that one.

Can we add Media View Wraplists in red, as mentioned in post #206

RE: CCM for Helix - Mudislander - 2015-02-01

So my understanding from Njals post is that the menu should wrap around and when scrolling and on reaching the end should not jump back to the start but keep going smoothly - Is that right ?

Yes that would be correct, just like in your main menu. I first saw media view wraplist way back when I was using Spacemonkey's modified confluence.
