I still have some issues with the library mode in XBMC. When setting my content he does not show a few movies. I ve noticed that when I select content i MUST slect MOVIES and after this choose one of the many sources that are shown (Adult CD Movies, Adult dvd empire.......Scratim,TMDB). How many movies are shown in library mode depends on which source I selected there. eg. when choosing TMDB in library mode 16 out of my 17 movies are shown, but when selecting another source it gets less. None of the sources makes ALL my movies visible in library mode.
I thought that when I set my content XBMC will look in the .nfo file that I created with MIP and slect the movie info (from IMDB) that MIP found. This is what I want.
btw. All my custom selected posters and fanarts are shown OK in library mode so this is good.
What am I doing wrong here?

How have you named your .nfo files with MIP ? The types of .nfo files xbmc checks for has changed since atlantis release - and MIP supports a naming scheme that is newer than what xbmc atlantis f.e. can work with (movie.nfo in every folder). If you told mip to create multiple .nfo files though then it should work with every version.
Pick a movie that isn't showing up in xbmc and tell us what what directory it ins in and what files are created in that directory. That could help.

Load my movies, press on precache and than choose per movie which fanart and poster I want to use. After this I go to settings and press the button 'process all movies and recreate nfo files. After this I can see in my movies folder on my HDD that the nfo files that where created by MIP were given the EXACT same name as the folder of the specific movie. (eg. C:\Documents and Settings\Movies\My Best Friends Girl got an nfo file called 'My Best Friends Girl.nfo'.

Hi guys,
I have searched this thread for a solution but was not able to find it.
I have almost every dvd in TS __ VIDEO_TS folders.
MIP always says that I have no movie (red cross).
Is there a solutions for this. I always rename the let say moviename.tbn to VIDEO_TS.TBN. And that's a lot of work 0
I have added a image to see my folder and mip application.

THX - and what version of xbmc do you use ? With a recent xbmc version that should work as far as I know because it picks up the movie.nfo and reads it. If you are using atlantis, then maybe the problem is that the .nfo files are named after the folder and not the movie filename . I don't know if xbmc (atlantis) picks up a structure like say:
c:\movies\batman\batman.nfo with
c:\movies\batman\batman_scenecrap (720p).avi
but I am not really sure about this. What I did was use a recent svn version that supports the movie.nfo files - and unchecked the other options for nfo files so MIP only creates the movie.nfo files and nothing else.
You could try and rename the created nfo files of a movie that wasn't picked up correctly to the filename of that movie - so you have:
batman_crap.avi and
batman_crap.nfo
and see if that let's xbmc pick it up. If yes, then maybe there is a problem with the way MIP names it's nfo files when it takes folder names as a reference.

It's a pain in the butt, but if you take the contents of the MOVIENAME\Video_TS\ folder and put it in MOVIENAME, everything will recognize properly. XBMC recognizes this layout as well, so you'll have no problems there. In fact, this is the last thing I had to do in order to get a perfect 1-1 scan of all my movies on one try.

And THXULTRA, that might be why your movies aren't hitting either. Do a directory scan with that program I sent you a link for, send me the results, and I can tell you for sure.

I always do this standard (moving the content of the VIDEO_TS folder to the actual movie folder and then remove the empty VIDEO_TS folder.

Using the latest release of Jester. Thanks for your thoughts. I think that it has something to do with the settings page of MIP:

Overwrite both .NFO if they exist - If either <MovieName>.nfo or "movie.nfo" exists for a movie, the contents will be overwritten when data is scraped from IMDB. Note: If you have other .nfo's that you don't want to lose, don't check this option.
Create fanart.jpg - Creates a fanart image for the specific movie and call it "fanart.jpg". Like 'Save movie.nfo', this works well if the filenames of your movies change for w/e reason.
Use <MovieName>-Fanart For Background - If a fanart file is found with the selected movie name, it will be used as the background in display mode.
Create folder.jpg file - Creates a file called folder.jpg when an images is selected for a movie.
Use Folder.jpg for TBN files - If a folder.jpg file exists when autopilot is initiated, MIP will use that image for the movie.tbn or <moviename>.tbn files if selected.
Create movie.tbn - Same as 'create folder.jpg' and 'create fanart.jpg'. When selected, will create a generic "movie.tbn" based on the folder.jpg image.
Show TBN for Current Movie - Shows the .tbn file for the selected movie in the 'Current Movie' tab.
Poster size (folder.jpg and TBN file) - Sets the display size for each image when displayed in the 'current move' tab.
Problem is that with most of the settings I have no idea what to pick for my configuration but I ve noticed that playing around with checking and unchecking some of these boxes in the settings page of MIP has influence on the movies that are showed and are not showed in the library mode of XBMC.

Atlantis 8.1 needs <moviename>.nfo, <moviename>.tbn, and <moviename>-fanart.jpg.
If you're using a recent jester build, then you can use either those settings, or movie.nfo/movie.tbn/fanart.jpg

Tried to use the image tagger with the Image Magic program.dll that you supplied the download for. I got a bad URL so I looked for the URL and found this.

Of course the F drive is where I store things. The files movies are there, but the overlay image isn't.

That would be a really cool feature! It would take a very long time if you've got hundreds of movies though. Maybe it could grab a few each day (starting with the newest releases) until the library is complete? Apple don't have many trailers for anything more than 3 or 4 years old though. You'd also have to choose resolution and in some cases there would still be multiple trailers (e.g. Dark Knight).

Any reason why fanart download is skipping most all files, for movies? If I select manually each one, it gets the files. If I go with Autopilot, it skips everything.
