You have to reinstall ChromeOS via the recovery media (aka, factory reset) as per the wiki after restoring the stock firmware before you can proceed with the dual boot setup

I have done that still goes back to chrome os missing after recovery.

I put the chrome firmware back. then made recovery usb installs tells me to remove,then reboots saying chrome os damaged or missing. Paperclip reset does not work.

so after you restored the firmware, you rebooted, it takes you to the recovery screen (chromeos missing or damaged), you inserted the recovery media, it reloaded ChromeOS successfully, and after it told you to remove the recovery media, it rebooted and still brings you to the recovery screen? If so, hit tab twice to bring up the diagnostic info, take a pic, and post it here.

I got a weird issue trying to update SeaBIOS. When I run the script and choose option 5 I got the next message: "Invalid parameter name: platform_family. This feature is only valid for Haswell and Broadwell based ChromeOS devices". I'm on your 20150618 SeaBIOS version. My device is a Dell Chromebox (Tricky).

Do you have an idea about what's wrong with it?

ok, I see the issue. Did you restore the stock firmware using your own backup, or the one provided by the script? It looks like the former. I think I know how we can fix this (without flashing the firmware using an external programmer), but will probably be easiest for me to walk you thru it on Hangouts. that's odd, what ChromeOS version are you running? I'll see if I can reproduce here.

I replaced the firmware using the script,but I realized just now that I used the image from asus instead of hp.

Image = firmware or recovery? If the latter, just redo with the correct one

tried that says its not chrome os just accepts panther now.
