Wow, imagine that! Sorry to waste your time. I thought I'd checked there but I have two xbmc setups running, one without rdio...guess I was testing the wrong one! Thanks for the help though, loving the app!
If I may toss one more feature request-Lock screen control as XBMC Commander has.
@StealthyMonk, under music section, there is a "Music Addons" row, check if there you can find your radio addon. For the shuffle question I'll see if something can be improved in this section.

I guess it's not a remote issue as much of a profile control issue, but I also guess that this is a good place to ask :-)
Is there any way to allow the remote to work from the login screen. Right now I cannot connect and play music (or choose profile) before a user is logged in. I guess this is due to the "allow remote control" not being enabled before the user has logged in.
Could I make some kind of change to startup.xml or

@StefanK, never tried but IIRC if the login screen is disabled, the master profile should be automatically logged in

The odd thing is that while the remote does not work before login, airplay does work when on the login screen...

i can see the reference, only i think it might be lost on alot of people...
i think i just believe that the truly awsome remote you've come to, only deserves an equally awsome icon.
id be happy to donate my time and its awsome to hear you got someone on it. might post some possible versions myself, worst case scenario it gives you some ideas...

I have xbmc remote on my new ipad and for some reason there is no cover art for any of my movies, tv show, and music. I am able to see the content of all my media on the ipad. I am use the remote and on it but just missing the cover art. I am on xbmc 12.0-Alpha1-HD which is running on a windows 7 machine. I have try to uninstall and re install xbmc on win7 machine and still no cover art. What am I doing wrong. Thanks

@graphiccontent thank you for the kind words and despite I can't guarantee that your future icon app will be used, I will be happy to see what's your vision!
@dazz87, your XBMC alpha version is too old, a lot of things are changed from that alpha, including the way on how the covers are retrieved. If you can, you need to upgrade your XBMC installation.

First, let me congratulate, and thank you for your hard work in making this excellent app for all of us! I first installed XBMC about a week ago, on the Ubuntu side of my dual boot machine, then installed on the Windows side the following day. Since then, it has now become my favorite media program, hands down. I was ecstatic to find the remote app 3 days ago for my iPad, & have been learning & playing with it ever since
I have only one issue with the app at this time, and you may have already addressed this (please forgive me for not going through all 59 pages before posting this, if you have) but there seems to now be what I can only describe as extreme hyperactive spastic sensitivity within the remote function. This causes annoyance, on the low end, & restarting the playlist on the PC on the high end.
I read a review that referenced this behavior specifically, and figured "I'll check it out for myself", but did not experience it, so I thought it was perhaps an issue with that user's iOS specifically. Today however, this behavior began on my iPad as well. The first time it happened, I would tap to navigate through a file list & select a specific track, but when I tapped, it skipped several lines down. I ended up selecting the item with my mouse. The second time it happened, I tapped to expand the visualization to full screen, this resulted in a sort of play/pause compulsory toggle for about 30 seconds or so, then the player began skipping through tracks. This continued until I closed the app from multitasking. I re opened the app, and decided to see if it was a fluke, or if I could reproduce it. I tapped the full screen button in the remote, & immediately it began skipping through tracks again.
I loved the remote function while it was working for 2 days! LOL. I'm not complaining, I know that programming for these can't be easy, I just figured that if you weren't aware of it yet, I'd let you know

It's a bug. Despite I'm unable to reproduce the issue on my side, reading your words I have the suspect that something goes wrong at a some point regarding the hold down support with certain buttons (for example with the directional buttons). So I've tried to improve the touch events management with the hope to solve the issue. If you want, you can PM your device UDID so I can send you the current developement version to help me test if the issue is gone.

Here with the 07 november 2012 nightly build everything seems works as expected. We need to investigate what's happening on XBMC side when the lag occurs, I need to look into your xbmc.log.

Fantastic app! I cannot tell you how happy I am to have discovered it - it has so totally improved the way I use XBMC!
I have one small feature request that I'm hoping you might consider. In the Movies Library view, the right side alphabet navigation is a great way to jump to the section of the library you're looking for. However, if you have thousands of movies in your library (as I do) having them all on a single page is a little unwieldy.
Any chance of having an option to have an initial screen that is just the letters of the alphabet, and then being able to jump into a list screen with just a single letter's worth of movies?
