Hey, Rob. Was wondering why extrafanart is being downloaded into the extrafanart folder. Didn't that go away for Kodi some time ago? Have you given any thought to changing TV renaming to something like Movies (i.e. nix regex)? Thanks

For TV, ExtraThumbs was added, ExtraFanart was always there. This was requested for a user Kodi 18 skin is Aeon MQ7. Wasn't complex to incorporate again.
As for Renaming TV Series, not at this time. It's a more complex procedure, and I have had a lot of time away from MC. Only had chance to work on some issues and features due to dental surgery.
For TV renaming, are you looking at Episodes? or the Series folder?

Rename episodes mainly. Am I missing the way to put extrafanart in the main TV show folder instead of extrafanart folder?

I will put changing the episode renaming on my list, not a quick change.
As for ExtraFanart, I see now that Kodi supports
fanart.jpg
fanart1.jpg
fanart2.jpg
fanart3.jpg
etc
I'll see about adding option to save in this format, and make it the default.

I have an unraid server and struggling with Kodi not displaying actor's pictures on estuary.
In Mediacompanion, movie preferences,actor I have:
local path: \\myserver\ActorThumbs - This works as I can see MC saving new photos
xbmc path: \\myserver\ActorThumbs doesn't work
xbmc path: smb:\\myserver\ActorThumbs doesn't work
xbmc path: smb:\\192.168.xx.xxx\ActorThumbs doesn't work
thoughts?

edit: replacing \ with / works

Ive tried using the regex setting in tvshows to include year but hasn't worked.

Sorry, not an option.
Also, MC and Kodi would be confused with the year at the front. Probably scrape a series (2024) - S01E01 - Seekest Thou the Road as season 20 episode 24
It has been asked to alter the naming similar to the format for Movies, but this is not working at present. And when it does happen, the Year shouldn't be at the start.
I know your talking about the episode year, but I find it odd (personally), why some users want the series name in front of the episode details, isn't the episode under the series folder?

I see the naming as the option Show Title - S01E01 - Episode Title.extn
You want me to add Show Title (Year) - S01E01 - Episode Title.extn as a rename option?
