So initial/first scrape of a TV Show would import properly, but if it was only a partial season and you added the missing episodes XBMC would fail to scrape them (even if MC/ember nfo was included/added).

Clean installation is good. Without XBMC scraper is good. No scraping is bad.
When you say MC 3.4, do you mean 3.400 or the latest beta (3.435b)? Just on the off-chance, 3.500 needs the .NET4.0 Windows update.
Could you please raise an issue at the MC Codeplex site (link on first post) if you are continuing to have problems.

Not that I'm aware of. Do you mean as a background task?
We are busy trying to fix a few pressing issues at the moment, but once that is done, I am sure there would be some scope for some new features, and I think there is some potential for more automation!
I suggest you add a feature (um, issue; a dev has to change it to a feature) at the Media Companion site on CodePlex so we can keep track when it comes time to work on features!

i made a batch file that runs every 2 hours that update the software and then connections to my xbmc and initiate a library update.

Interested in finding an answer for this one two, But in my testing, Dharma XBMC add everything to its library, where as I have the same issue your having with Eden XBMC. I'm running one installation of Dharma and one of Openelec Eden Beta 3.

And have two shows I need to scan for new content, and one show that misses episode 1 and 3 of season 11. Weird.

Tried it with the last 3 releases. All say the same thing. Tried it on 2 pc's too. All 3 versions were new installs.

I have a set of workout DVD's for my wife that are not listed on IMDB, but have perfect covers / details / etc on IMDB. Unfortunately, media companion can't seem to find them on tmdb (even though I have tmdb selected as the default scraper) and falls back on an IMDB scrape instead. OF course media companion can't find them on there either so I end up with some random movie info for all 10 discs.

When I launch xbmc it is able to use tmdb and scrape the proper info, but I really don't want xbmc managing my metadata.
