RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - User 325245 - 2017-09-02 OK, I have it and it is working. Just how do you see the location of the image? Top/bottom, centered, same as normal banners? RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - DoubleT - 2017-09-02 Amazing! Could that be a configurable option? Would have use cases for centred and bottom. RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - User 325245 - 2017-09-02 Yes, I'll try making top/center/bottom, but horizontally it will always be centered. RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - DoubleT - 2017-09-02 Sounds great. Thanks for this! RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - User 325245 - 2017-09-02 v1.6 - Display banner via http/json/API: i.e. from any browser send: http://localhost:8080/jsonrpc?request={"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"Addons.ExecuteAddon","params":{"addonid":"service.banners","params":{"imageloc":"D:\\img.jpg","displaytime":"3000","position":"center"}},"id":1} Where "imageloc" is full path to image, "displaytime" is how long it should be displayed (1000-60000 mS) and "position" is "top", "bottom" or "center" RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - DoubleT - 2017-09-02 Thanks again, this is going to be a huge help around the office. Quick bug report, looks like top & bottom in imageloc have been reversed. RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - User 325245 - 2017-09-02 OK, will fix RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - docwra - 2017-09-03 Let us see a picture if you get this up and running in the office RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - DoubleT - 2017-09-03 http://olipassey.me.uk/using-kodi-for-office-dashboards/ http://olipassey.me.uk/kodi-as-office-dashboards-part-2/ http://github.com/OliPassey/kodikontroller There will be a part 3 at some point, and will definetly post up some screenshots when we implement this. Its likely we'll use the bottom banner display for notifying of website down-time,a webhook from other systems will trigger the API call. RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - docwra - 2017-09-03 Quote:A couple of side projects from other devs are starting to find the dashboards as end-points – CoffeeBot is now able to show a "Coffee's Ready in the {location} kitchen" notification in the form of an image file or a video – depending how much we're showing off. Utterly ridiculous but it brings a smile. This is AMAZING! RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - User 325245 - 2017-09-07 v1.7 - fixed small bug; reversed image location top-bottom for json/API call - Other (really) small fixes RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - Slaytanic - 2017-10-09 Looks very interesting, thanks for your work! Just have a question..is it possible to scroll some custom text, like: We Welcome Company X Mr. Y and so on? RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - User 325245 - 2017-10-09 No, just if you make animated GIF. RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - User 325245 - 2017-10-17 v1.71 - fixed bug; image centered and shown in actual size - new option: offset banner l/r (only if banner x size > skin resolution, since banners are centered) and top/bottom (always) Updated in the TEST repo. RE: Banners - (Display ad-banners over full screen video) - User 325245 - 2017-10-20 Since there were no complaints, I'm updating the latest version from the test repo to regular repo... v1.8 - fixed bug; image centered and shown in actual size - new option: offset banner l/r (only if banner x size > skin resolution, since banners are centered) and top/bottom (always) |
