I know there is an option to have the osd hidden after a couple of seconds but its not ideal and it only works when pausing and not when fast forwarding.
Maybe have a "minimalistic osd' option where you only have the progress bar at the very bottom and nothing else when pausing and fast forwarding? Also a clock would be nice.

So sometimes i use playback speed option to go trough some of the more boring parts of some shows and being able to see the subs help to still sort of understand what's going on, tho this might be more of a niche thing...

Studio icons already work for widgets as long as you select Square style which is the same as in the library.
